Kinda interesting how much the internet has helped put a lot of the weird/obscure types of people on the radar now that they have a place to form communities without fear of backlash, without the internet we might have never known that people like this and furries, etc. even exist.
I thought I was the only one

If it weren't for the internet, there wouldn't be people turning characters from famous shows and movies into mlp pony shit.
-snip, just realized it could be a spoiler-
I haven't felt this uncomfortable in a long time.
Where you I even start?
Click only if you watched the video or have no interest in finishing it.
[sp] At first, I thought it was some form of transgenderism for elderly men that have never been able to become a women, but that it slowly shows itself to be nothing more than a leather sexual freak show. [/sp]
[sp] I don't know if Goetze says he stopped because he never saw it as a fetish thing or if he just realized that people in the world would see him as a weirdo. [/sp]
Watching him as Kim running around doing chores just barely being able to walk in the high heels made me fucking lose it.
"I am Kim now. Dressed as a french maid, and I am ready for taking my duties!!"
What the fuck

You also wouldn't get all the things about the internet that you like. You can't have your cake and eat it too. I guess if people cared less it would be a win-win.

The internet was a mistake.
How do you get this weird. Like, what goes off in your head where you put on a crazy rubber mask and look like a burn victim in the mirror and go "oh hell yeah"
This is kinda sad to see.
I'd call it weird, but I feel too bad for these men and some of the emotional troubles they probably went through that made them start doing this.
like, just putting makeup on even as an old man would be a THOUSAND times more acceptable than this they look like henchmen preparing to rob a bank.

Maybe they don't care about being accepted/do it in private so noone typically sees.
I thought I could understand this maybe a bit better than most because I crossdress for fun on occasion.
But I just don't really get this. There's a difference between "I'm gonna wear a skirt at home because it's comfy" and "I'm going to cover myself head-to-toe in latex, wear this uncanny mask, and shuffle around outside while people look at my confused as hell"
Like I get it's more than likely a fetish thing, but even still, it's pretty damn extreme. The mask part I think is what does it. Wouldn't it be better to give your body some more feminine curves with all that shit they gotta put on and then just have a face covering or something? Why a creepy ass mask?
I don't wanna shit on em too much because a nuts fetish like this is probably a coping mechanism for something (well it certainly was for that one guy). But I dunno, it's just so strange.
The wheezing as he struggles to put the mask on

This video has more dislikes than likes. For some reason people are attacking Vice directly because of other people's weird fetishes/lifestyles

I think he's like mega excited and nervous at the same time
This is like Kigurumi but I dunno I think the attempt at realistic faces really, really, really spook me.
They look like a bunch of zombies when wearing that mask etc, and the older male voice sure doesn't help my what the fuck moment.
The internet was a mistake.
But who created the internet?
Al Gore was a mistake.
this is pretty far out there
but it's a good thing that people are more accepting of others really.
like, if this means that someone who feels they need to indulge in something weird doesn't end up fucking with someone unwilling, and can find someone who is willing, that's surely a good thing
even if it's elderly men dressing up as p.creepy dolls
This feels kind of like watching a nature documentary about some interesting species you've never heard of. I know not everybody agrees with Vice the news website, but Vice the people who make mini-documentaries really do put out some fascinating stuff.

There's something similar where people do the same thing but as dogs.
They have events for best dog and stuff and do all sorts of shit.

I'm not talking about furries, these are people in literal skin suited dog gear.
I'm not a psychologist or anything. But from watching like 13 minutes of the video it seems like there are some underlying issues with everyone they showcase. Like the guy who talked about how he wasn't allowed to show femininity by his father and step-father. It's almost like dressing up is kind of a weird escape from it all.
It just seems so bizarre. I can understand people who cross-dress, but dressing up in latex suits with creepy masks is in an entirely different league of weird. Maybe I'm just closed minded and bigoted but this just made me feel super uncomfortable watching and I'd be uncomfortable meeting, seeing or being around people who are like this in real life.
But if it makes them happy, go for it. It's not like they're hurting people or anything.
This seems like something you would see in a Kubrick film.

/pol/ always bombs VICE with dislikes
Guessing this is how people who aren't all internet savvy view furries and a lot of other things we see as sort of everyday on the internet
