Thinking about it, it's kinda ridiculous, but something like this could actually happen. Look at universities. Look at small news sites. Look at Anita. This shit is spreading, homewer slowly. That's kinda worrisome.

More like it's just ridiculous. That's like saying that the US is going to become a communist dystopia because american liberals are pushing for a limited market economy.

Well that is kind of what the video this is a sequel to was about.
Kind of ironic that he rants about "reactionary social media culture" when the reality is that this bullshit is exactly what outrage culture is flipping over.

Yeah, the hyperbole in this video kind of falls flat with me. It's just not funny, and the message it sends out seems kind of belittling.

Also whoever wrote this is clearly either not in education or deluded. It's not like this and it never will be, nor will it ever be a realistic version of what this is satirizing.

Hardcore progressivism tends to die down as people mature and it turns into something far more beneficial. Everyone thought hippies were going to corrupt the whole world with their flamboyancy. And they kind of did, their liberal ideas stayed but the more extreme bits of the movement died in the wind.

they're fighting against drug prohibition, racism, and for freedom of expression :v:
Sure we'll have to wait and see, but at this current juncture the SJW community is far from overtaking any kind of important organization without significant pushback, let alone a fucking government as large (and paranoid) as America's. I suspect that once these people grow up to become politicians they will either fail because of their outlandish stance or they will simply mature and abandoned the harsher beliefs they may have had when they were younger.

You're likely not used to seeing that political ideal being targeted. Most TV shows and comics have used MRAs, fundamentalists, republicans, and other "anti-progressives" as punching bags for a decade.
back when i was an edgy young teen (unfortunately I still am one) i was a fucking hardcore atheist, real asshole. I took any opportunity to bash religion where I could, and many actually supported me. I thought that if I ever found myself in a position of power I'd just straight up try to eliminate any religious influence I could find. Then yknow, puberty and shit happened and I realized how much of a greasy little faggot I was so I learned to be more accepting while still keeping some more secular views. All for the better

Have you ever been inside a university or studied anything? situations like this rarely affect actual day to day happenings. Why are you surprised that University students are expressing themselves in sometimes misguided ways, this shits been happening since the 60's.
You call me out on cherrypicking because I disagree with it, and yet you cherrypick videos like the one you posted earlier. Just because you see isolated situations of people being overly PC doesn't mean it's changing the whole world.
btw do you actually think overly PC nature is a new thing for colleges and universities? It's not.

I don't even think the video is embarrassing because I "disagree with the message" (I don't, I just think people get carried away with thinking this sort of stuff will ruin the world), it's just so in your face and as subtle as a brick to the face that it's hard to watch.
Like the ones in the video I posted? Are they?
These people aren't going through puberty though, they're in college they're literally adults.
What does this even mean.
Are they doing it effectively? No. Is it still their intention to do these things? Yes. And that's kind of what matters, they'll have this general feeling of progressivism in them but it'll evolve to become something more subtle. They'll realize that they best way to encourage change in people is to do it in a way that's unobtrusive and rational.
Secondly, that was an analogy relating to the process of maturing and how that affects your outlook with 'puberty' specifically just being a joke.
Regardless of your current age, your opinions will change as you grow older, you experience new things and see topics in a different light. Have you ever looked back on your life and found a previously held opinion to be irrational or even borderline silly? That's what I'm talking about, it's something even adults experience almost constantly since they always find themselves in different environments where their old beliefs are embarrassing to just think about.
For at least 20 years, the woman has constantly been the head of the household in terms of media perceptions.
Think to any TV show you watch. Any nuclear family sitcom based TV show. You know what they all had in common? Dad fucks up and Moms upset, and nothing changes until Dad does what Mom wants.
That's the trope, and plot for almost all of those episodes with the rare role reversal but the point is, in modern media, the woman makes the major decisions in households. Sure, in real life that doesn't hold true, but one can hardly portray all that media where the woman, while being a housewife, was incredibly empowered to be in charge of that household.

It's not about it affecting day to day happenings or that it's changing the whole world, it's just that it's annoying to see these people act the way they're acting, in a University, as adults. That one video was just an example.
Was being overly PC a thing back in the 60's? Were there safe spaces for people who get offended because the professor said something they didn't like? Were people being harassed and told they have privilege so they can't complain about it? These are actual questions btw, not statements.
So please I ask you to please explain to me what exactly they are fighting for, I would geniunally like to know if they aren't the extremes like you say.

You don't have to worry about it. The movement will self destruct in an effort to out politically correct eachother.
I hear so much about the social justice movement on here and online but I've never really experienced it personally, It must just be localized to certain white collar groups because I'm blue collar and all my mates are blue collar and I never hear about this shit other than like somebody I met 3 years ago and fell out of contact with making a post of it on facebook.
I mean it might be pretty bad at certain Private schools, Uni's and like prestigious Job's but for the rest of us that didn't go to Uni and shit it's pretty uncommon.
And it's not like the blue collar workforce nowadays in Australia isn't diverse, we aren't all blokey white dudes, we've got plenty of Brown people (Myself included), Blacks, Girls etc.
I honestly just believe people that have spent most of their late teenage life and early adult life in school's (Especially Uni students) are just more prone to being more vocal about stuff. Like throughout most of history it's always been the "Intellectuals" at Uni's n stuff that strive for social change (What isn't entirely a bad thing) the rest of us just kind of complain about the government occasionally and that's it.
It's most concentrated in academia, especially the humanities.

This isn't happening, this video is stupid. If you actually attend uni, or a class today, this never happens. It's taking the piss out of socialist/feminist uni groups by labelling them as all radical and easily offended when that's not the case.
People don't want you to use slurs, people want you to use correct pronouns like how hard is it to just be respectful if someone asks to to something like that. Think it in your head that it's ridiculous don't say it.
I never understood why retard was offensive until I spoke to some people who explained to me nicely why it was an offensive slur, and I rarely/never use it. Same goes for rape jokes etc, it's just a matter of respect how hard is it.
And this entire "sjws r ruinin everythin!!" is just stupid, SJW's is such a loose word, people apply it to left/centre-left people like myself if we speak about injustices happening in this world.
This website makes it harder to speak out about a lot of this shit because even if I try to be polite and describe stuff I get dumbed or told im an sjw. I made a video on islamophobia, posted it here and got brutally scolded for my comments when i was just trying to be nice explaining that i accept the mistakes i made and ill do better next time.

Regardless of whether they change their opinions, they'll probably find it hard to get into any position of power to establish an actual New World Order that this video envisions, there's simply not enough people to support them on that level, especially with how government works to favor middle-aged rich white men with the power to impeach any totalitarian feminist president that might want to flip american society on its head. Out of all the issues in the world right now, some radical feminists are not the ones we need to focus on.
And if they ever do get to that point, we'll be lllloooooong fucking dead.
especially with how government works to favor middle-aged rich white men with the power to impeach any totalitarian feminist president that might want to flip american society on its head. Actually totalitarianism at this point would be used to keep anyone from challenging the riches and power of such elites. The current "issues" that are brought up by the radical left would actually enforce the power of the rich, not challenge it.
To put the limitations on free speech that is currently attempting to spread out of these groups would leave everyone subjected primarily to propaganda fed to us by the media, who would be controlled by these groups.
You have to listen to the ideals they're trying to spread, and forget the labels they use if you want to see who stands to actually benefit from this, and it's not the people.

Yeah and plus like not every class sounds the same, like if you're in a TAFE course for electrical or plumbing people are gonna talk different than people doing a art diploma or something at the very same TAFE.
[editline]12th November 2015[/editline]
Like if your job includes jackhammering a wall or digging a hole for several hours a day generally nobodies going to give a fuck about being "PC" as long as it doesn't interfere with doing your job and you're not mouthing off to the wrong people (Like the people who's house you're working on). Compared to like working in sales, being a lawyer, doctor, accountant etc. And isn't that how it's always been really? I mean the only thing that's changed is what's "PC" and what isn't anymore.

I dunno what to think really. I've watched Indoctrinate U, and videos coming out of universities(in the US) of groups being radical.
While I don't like slurs, I believe people should have the right to say them. With correct pronouns, unless it really bothers them, they won't correct you or anything until you find out after a while once you get to know them better.
I've really only seen SJWs used correctly such as the tantrum video at Yale, protest against speakers at Universities where the protesters want them outright banned from speaking and having a different opinion.
I don't understand how you can have such faith in an internet forum to show great respect for anything. There's always going to be assholes, trolls, people who have a different opinon, "I was just pretending to be retarded", and people who share same views as you.
This video was a great example of taking the piss out of people who are a bit radical when it comes to safe spaces and wanting to remove the intellectual learning from education.
