Wow, they did a damn good job on the N3DS port. Looks like the texture resolution is slightly lower, but generally it's the same game.
I was playing the Wii one and man does it look like garbage. It looks even worse on 3DS.

Despite the very slight downgrade in texture quality on the N3DS I think they pretty much look the same, which is majorly impressive for a handheld, given that this game is a HUGE open world.
Hell given that the N3DS technology is far more modern than the Wii's it might actually be improved in some places with things the Wii didn't even have at the time.

The game is pretty impressive being a Wii Title and with such a huge world.
If you were just playing it on the 3DS without having seen the Wii version, I think most people would see it as perfectly acceptable. A little muddy, but that's just something that happens with textures on a handheld in an open-world JRPG.
Even though I said it looks low res I still think it will do well on the 3DS. It will probably do better because the controls on the Wii are so awkward. Having that second screen will make battles way easier to control.

I think a lot of people still blame the WiiU's lack of sales on the name. Nintendo didn't make it clear it was an entirely new console.

Honestly I think for the common consumer Wii U sounds more like an addon, while at the very least New 3DS has [I]new[/I] in the title.
It's still stupid, but it's far less confusing than Wii U.

And yet Wii U still has some of the best exclusives of the current generation. Sure exclusives aren't everything, but there are still a bunch of good titles for the system like Bayonetta 2 and The Wonderful 101.

Running it on Dolphin is the best way to play imo
You can get high res texture packs and force the game to run at a higher resolution.
Theirs actually a pretty sizeable community dedicated to improving the game through dolphin

Didn't help that the only advertisement I've seen for it was at a movie theatre, and any publicity outside of E3 for the games was on youtube which they are slowly ruining also
Funfact: Xenoblade Chronicles was part of a "Trinity of JRPG's on the Wii", the other 2 games being The Last Story and Tower of Pandora. Xenoblade was also the most popular because of it's traditional RPG elements.
But I loved Last Story for it's strategic cover system, and Tower of Pandora has an absolutely heart wrenching story of love. If you have a Wii I would check those 2 out.

Everybody thinks it's retarded, Xbox is just a big enough name to tank the stupidity. The name was the least of its worries on launch.
The "all in one" thing is painful and if you called the Xbone "the one" like the marketers want you to everybody in the room would punch you in the face for sounding like a tool.
It's really impressive considering the specs of the New 3DS but goddamn, that resolution is a killer. Nintendo's next handheld better be 1080p. Minimum.
