Looks decent imo.
Looks a lot better than their earlier previews.
Not a fan of the Star Wars Clone Wars art style to be honest
So does the new SW canon include this show, the Clone Wars series, and the films themselves?
The jedi dude is one of the models from Knights of the Old Republic.
So does the new SW canon include this show, the Clone Wars series, and the films themselves?
Yes. Along with anything else from this time forward. Including books, comics and games. Everything is going to be in one unified continuity. Everything will go through the LucasFilm Story Group before being declared canon or not. Also SWTOR is possibly canon because the LSG was credited in the Starfighter expansion, but I'm not sure what their involvement was.
Not a fan of the Star Wars Clone Wars art style to be honest
It looks almost like it's a kiddier version of the the Clone Wars style, very similar, but brighter colored with rounded edges on everything.
The character designs look more childish
They should have just stuck with the later seasons of Clone Wars art style if anything, the animations in the trailer turns me off completely from watching it.
Animation's real smooth, but the models are too for some reason. Stormtroopers and TIE fighters are pretty iconic, and they changed them. Of course, they can do whatever they want with them, but it's strange.
is that jedi suppose to be some sort of kyle katarn rip off. because he seems like it.
Stormtroopers and TIE fighters are pretty iconic, and they changed them. [editline]5th May 2014[/editline]
is that jedi suppose to be some sort of kyle katarn rip off. because he seems like it.
I didn't get that feeling at all.

[editline]5th May 2014[/editline] I didn't get that feeling at all.
The shoulder guard he's got was really a Kyle Katarn thing, as far as I know you don't see it on any other character in starwars but Kyle Katarn.
The shoulder guard he's got was really a Kyle Katarn thing, as far as I know you don't see it on any other character in starwars but Kyle Katarn.
The armour on his right arm and shoulder looks like it came from trooper armour, or maybe something the Jedi wore during the Clone Wars. Kyle's "shoulder guard" looks nothing like it.
i wish they didnt target the child demographic
Alright time for some factoids about the show. The reason this doesn't look as good as Clone Wars is because it isn't on Lucas' payroll any more. Lucas helped fund Clone Wars but he ain't doing anything for this. For those complaining about the tone, it's a trailer and just like with Tron Uprising and Motorcity, Disney XD is terrible at them and they usually misrepresent the show. They've also come out and said that by episode 4 there's an event that occurs causing a large tonal change. Back to it being on Disney XD. Clone Wars was pretty violent and I think a lot of people are worried this won't be as violent. Watch Tron Uprising to see the kind of shit they can get away with on Disney XD, because damn a lot of people die in that series. And finally, the show is being written by Greg Weisman, the guy who created Gargoyles, so that should be a stamp of quality right there. Also that part were the Imperial Commander says "Stormtroopers focus your fire on...on the jedi" was pretty fucking awesome. It's pretty good seeing a single Jedi being an actual big deal in the Star Wars universe again, reminds you of how strong they're really meant to be.
i wish they didnt target the child demographic
They did the same with the Clone Wars and it ended up having regicide, murder, implications of sex, etc. etc.
They did the same with the Clone Wars and it ended up having regicide, murder, implications of sex, etc. etc.
and still sucked
and still sucked
Did you even watch the show you peasant? This show will suck though. Fuck Rebels.
Too bad clonewars started to outsource the animation/modelling/lighting towards the end of its life. But now it's owned by disney so who knows
and still sucked
Every thread, every thread you come in here to say that.
The only problem I have with the show so far is the art style. The main character with the blue hair looks like absolute shit. I loved the sharp edges in Clone Wars. Thankfully, the same people are behind this show, so it's sure to be good. I loved CW.
This looks like shit compared to Clone Wars

I liked it when it was just Yoda and Ben that were the last remaining jedi, also did they have to make the jedi look like Kyle Katarn to taunt us 'Haha, remember this guy, yeah its looks like kyle, but guess what, KYLE NEVER EXISTED and THIS GUY DOES'

I seriously do not see the resemblance. I've played the games, and I just went through Wookieepedia's Media section with images of him. I don't see it. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Images_of_Kyle_Katarn Offtopic, but I love how Kyle, even when in the New Jedi Order and on the Council still wears a jacket instead of a robe. Such a non-conformer [editline]5th May 2014[/editline] Actually, if anything, he reminds me of a young Rohm Kota http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Images_of_Rahm_Kota
Why did that Stormtrooper stare directly into that explosive? Were they not trained that anything that beeps with a red light that gets consecutively faster will explode? Come on.
