I do not understand Yu-Gi-Oh one bit.
But I still pissed myself in laughter. Probably one of the fastest game overs I've seen.

Just so you get it: Exodia is a monster that is built out of 5 cards (head/torso,2 arms, 2 legs). They all have to be played at the same time to make the monster, and if you do it you instantly win the game. It's incredibly INCREDIBLY unlikely to pull of because unless you draw them all at once more often than not youll have to discard or something IDFK I havent played in forever
TL;DR he lost instantly because the AI used two card to draw more cards and had impossible luck

If the game is really based on the Anime, that rare hunter has three sets of Exodia in his deck, which would dramatically increase his chances of drawing Exodia pieces from 5/40 to 15/40 (Where a Yu-Gi-Oh deck has to have 40 cards at a minimum).

yeah in the older games you had 3 (the max allowed) of each piece and then the rest of your deck would be cards that allow you to draw more cards, shuffle or get cards from your deck to your hand, like sangan or witch of the black forest.
i'm sure that's what his deck was like, i remember doing this shit too in the 2004 edition of the game on gba
[editline]2nd August 2015[/editline]
in newer rule sets i think pot of greed and the likes are either banned or restricted to 1 copy per deck because the old yugioh had a lot of one turn win shit like in the video

It's not really like that; you need all the unique parts not just 5 pieces in general. It would just make the chance of getting each individual piece higher. But then you lack the draw power to use that because over a third of your deck is useless until you have all of the exodira.

Friend of mine has those 3 pc games where you can fight yugi, kaiba and joe, and he says kaiba is usually somewhat hard.
Despite me not playing all that much and making a few mistakes every other round, I went for a few games vs kaiba while he talked outside with someone.
In like 7 games, i won 5 or something, easily as fuck. There were times where the ai would pull out the dreaded blue eyes, and I'd just casually destroy it or make it my own. The only time when he destroyed me was when I couldn't get rid of his swordstalker, and he just gave him near 4000 attack.
The other two games are crap imo, because they feel rigged as fuck.
Joe SOMEHOW has a million billion magic/trap cards, having about 4 or 5 at any time, even if he uses one or two, and then pulls out this auto-win magic card that works kind of like exodia, except its basically a sure fire countdown to a win.
Yugi on the other hand, will delay the fuck out of the game, until he can summon exodia.
In short, you're fucked unless you're deck only has good cards or if you draw out the right cards at the right time by luck.
I had this psp game, the first yu gi ho tag battle gx thing or whatever it was called, and I found that to be even worse.
Fighting with random ai players you found around the dorm, revealed that nobody fucking needed magic or trap cards, since every fucking monster card had a goddamn effect/flip effect. There was this fucked who had a fuckton of monsters that when flipped, it would summon more of the same monster. All of this at the beggining. Jesus christ....
Also, he's playing a version that allows for impossible decks, like how they're portrayed in the anime. He wouldn't be able to play two pots of greed (Free 2 cards) in the same deck.

Game runs on traditional format (do whatever the fuck you want) as opposed to advanced format (x cards are banned, can only have y amount of z in your deck etc.)

Traditional format still has limited cards; all banned cards are limited in traditional. Otherwise the format would be all OTK exodia decks.
Yugioh is trash in terms of actual gameplay tbh , even the actual legal banlist decks. Which is sad cause it used to be 'ight.

Sorry, my bad. Been years since I retired from yugioh. The ban list looks like it's gotten retarded during my absence.

Had to; decks got a lot faster so you need to clamp the fuck down on a lot of things. Still they experiment; raigeki got unbanned a while back but has remained strong but fair; it's a lot easier to recover from that sort of thing now. They also tried unbanning "Sixth Sense" an obscure Japanese card which gives you a 1/3 chance to draw 5-6 cards at once. THAT WAS A FUN FORMAT!
I remember having the god cards and losing them while on vacation
I was of very sads

To be honest, the gods seemed useless in an actual game. Cept for obelisk.

I don't think they were even allowed to be used, I'm pretty sure they had a "YOU CANNOT USE THIS IN A MATCH" written on them. But they were neat to have because the cards had a unique color, and the hype from the show.

Theres actually two versions of the God Cards, the colored ones that match the anime cannot be used in the game.
The other versions have the ususal Effect monster colors and are legal to use.
But honestly the power creep in the card game made them pretty much non viable.

Ra was horseshit; give up all of your lifepoints but 100 so he'll actually have any attack. And his other effect besides the standard god card "3 tributes, can't stop this summon blah blah" was you can pay 1000 life points to destroy a monster. SICK.

Hence why I say obelisk was most useful. 4000/4000 and he could nuke the entire field with a couple tributes.

Slifer has uses, and potentially outhit Obelisk
But I never actually manage to keep a full hand in the game.

That's the issue with slifer. Sure he has the potential to hit you like a runaway freight train but you need 5 or more cards in your hand to make him worthwhile. I've been out of the game for awhile but I could never hold 4+ cards for long. I'd much rather use the steady 4000/4000 with a built in nuke option that obelisk brings to the table.
The Wicked Avatar will always be my favorite card
Best counter monster in the game

I can tell you right now it's even funnier if you understand how he lost.
The other guy basically won thanks to luck.

Let's just say that all god cards are pretty terrible.

slifer had his fucking goofy ass second ability; when they summon anything knock 2000 attack off and if it dosen't have any attack left kill it.

Obelisk is also a fucking tank cause unlike the other 2 he can't be targeted by anything. You need board nuke to kill him the fucker is so hench.

For the record recently they released a support card for Ra based off his sphere mode from the anime that makes him not trash anymore.
But yeah I played this game back at comic con and it had its bullshit moments, like facing Mai as Teà and having an utter trash deck filled with low attack fairies or having a winning field then Jaden pulls Transcendent Wings out of his ass and reflects all that damage onto me. Still, every duel felt out of the anime and its something I can't wait to play at a friends house since I'll never have an Xbone or PS4
Let's just say that all god cards are pretty terrible.
I was just showing my reasoning for why I believe obelisk was the most useful God card. Anybody remotely interested in this game will know that the God cards are more for showing how big your dick is as opposed to competitive play.
Shame this isn't on PC too. I'd play it.
