my casual gunfights went down after my neighbor got diagnosed with cancer :(
keep the fight against cancer strong y'all
is raoul duke narrating this clip? :v:
Honestly, if I could get all my neighbors using simmunition and body armor, I'd totally do it.
It'd be one of those get together where everyone gets rid of the bad vibes by capping each other with highpowered paintballs.

It's Hunter S Thompson so yeah, pretty much.
Why don't you try shooting something besides BIRDSHOT you Asshole!
He says as birdshot whips through his immediate surroundings.
This man is america.
oh holy shit it actually is the guy that's based off
what the fuck
oh fuck, I just realized this is Hunter fucking Thompson.
"I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me." Hunter S. Thompson
Hunter Thompson is a legend.
I fucking love Hunter S. Thompson.
The other guy sounds like a classic video game enemy
Is Trevor Phillips based off of that guy?
Is Trevor Phillips based off of that guy?
Trevor Phillips wishes he was based off of Hunter S. Thompson.
oh holy shit it actually is the guy that's based off

well he based it off himself, yeah.
fear and loathing, the book, is an auto-biography
well he based it off himself, yeah.

it really really really isn't
like, it's based off real people and experiences but it's not very smart to call it an autobiography considering the appaling things raoul duke does regularly in it
Pure gonzo journalism. If you have an hour to burn, here's a good way to do so:

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is a heavily fictionalized take on a series of events Hunter took part in. Hell's Angels is another great book from him, it's nonfiction and much closer to an autobio.

it's classified as an autobiography, while of course being heavily fictionalized. I guess I should have clarified with the novel bit, as it IS classified as an Autobiographical Novel.
it's very similar to On The Road by Kerouac in that regard
Probably my favorite part of the counter culture class I took in high school was fear and loathing
Is Trevor Phillips based off of that guy?
This guy is a step above. Seriously, just look at this fucking story.
Thompson's birthday celebration for his friend Jack Nicholson consisted of the following, outlined in his book Kingdom of Fear: "a massive outdoor amplifier, a tape recording of a pig being eaten alive by bears, a 1,000,000-watt spotlight, and a 9-mm Smith & Wesson semiautomatic pistol with teakwood handles and a box of high-powered ammunition." Oh, and a frozen elk's heart, which he left on the actor's doorstep while he played the tape through his Jeep and the amplifier, and let off a couple rounds from the Smith & Wesson.
This guy, was the definition of crazy motherfucker.
Even his funeral was fucking nuts
On August 20, 2005, in a private funeral, Thompson's ashes were fired from a cannon. This was accompanied by red, white, blue and green fireworks—all to the tune of Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit in the Sky" and Bob Dylan's "Mr. Tambourine Man". The cannon was placed atop a 153-foot (47 m) tower which had the shape of a double-thumbed fist clutching a peyote button
This feels like a promo for an American version of TPB tbh.
More like the inspiration for TPB
Nah TPB is just what Halifax is
oh god i love it when the HST fans come out of the woodwork, sometimes i forget that im not the only insane motherfucker who tries to live it up like Thompson did.

just remember thompson was a violent drunken mess who never reached anywhere close to his potential and fizzled out creatively by the mid 70s.
he had an interesting life, no doubt, but he never seemed truly happy. i would never try to emulate him.

I honestly thought it was from some spin off show at first,
