Part 3 of Chubzdoomer's annual series he does at each Call of Duty release. :v:
Still looks better than CoD Ghosts
It's so linear.
Should have been Mtn Dew
"Kill me, motherfucker."
How has he made 3 of these? The first one was a clone of If Quake Were Done Today (really, the same exact jokes and structure), and each subsequent has just been more of the same, dragged on progressively longer. Call it a statement about the condition of the modern video game industry, but that doesn't mean the statement has to be repeated 3 times verbatim.
"What the pistol lacks in power it makes up for in accuracy."
Is that an actual quote from CoD?

He didn't make the Quake one, someone else did. He's been making parodies since Modern Warfare 3 each year.

I'm aware. My argument is that, these parodies are just as unoriginal as the thing they're parodying. The Quake one was clever and insightful when it came out, but this guy's 3 nearly identical videos totally undermine the message of the original.
Goddammit, that bit where he runs into an invisible wall that dissapears when the commander guy stops talking and the waypoints show up. :v:

Yeah I guess it's nice how much effort is put into making them, but there are more parts that feel tedious than there are parts that make me laugh.

This is exactly what I was thinking when I was watching this.
At the time, the one done in Quake got the message across perfectly fine, and it was way shorter and funnier IMO.
These are just way too much. It's like if Epic Games started making sequels to Duty Calls.
I lost it every time it did the whole "Return to the combat zone!" thing.
its super ironic because hes making fun of a game thats virtually similar every year by making jokes that are virtually the same every year
Oh god that Halo shield recharging sound
What the hell!?! These levels look inspired and unique even with all the boundaries! What the fuck, activision?

That and the joke really doesn't work now because this is a Military FPS. They're all like this, its part of the rules of that sub genre. Just like any military SIM will have a wide open world or any RPG will have an wide open or faux wide open world.
It would be complaining that every Cyberpunk movie is the same, well no shit. Genres have god damn rules. Its up to the writer's skill to twist and change these rules a little bit to make them different.
This general dissatistifaction is merely people getting pissed because the games that they played, and mind you, I've played the older classics which were fairly linear and had little nooks and crannies that gave people incentive to do minor exploring.
Comparing genres is fun, but if you're going to compare a Sci-fi Shooter to a Military Shooter, you've fucked up. Especially if that sci-fi shooter was from the beginning.
It would be like comparing Silent Movies to today and saying those were better, no they were different.
Tech has changed, people's tastes have changed.

The gaming industy has grown large enough that we don't have to all like every game that came out. We can hate certain portions, but to deride people for enjoying those games is shallow.
I don't know why but I found that bit with the pepsi machine in the cage pretty funny.
Even the imps are Russian

Maybe it's a metastatement of how similar each game really is..
