Joe is way better at this than Maddox. Even if he doesn't believe in an argument, he's way better at finding an arbitrary counter argument.

self checkout lanes either really suck in america. i've used a few bad ones, but the ones at woolworths are the easiest thing in the world. they don't ask anything unnecessary of you. it's just scan to start, hit payment to pay, then it asks if you want to print a receipt. there are literally no other prompts.

Feel bad for Maddox in the comments! Last I looked they were really viscous to him; acting like he's completely serious or just calling him a cuck - cause that's not gonna make them look ridiculous at all when he's already pointed how dumb that is.

Most of the complaints Maddox has had about them I've never experienced. They usually are the shortest lanes and I've had almost never had any problems scanning multiple/fresh ingredients. If anything, most of the negative experiences I've had with self checkout were mainly from other people not knowing how they work and not the machines themselves.
Self checkout is hit or miss for me. Sometimes there's nobody in line and I only need like 3 things and I'm out in 30 seconds, other times it refuses to cooperate.
The only thing i hate about self checkout is that i use my own bags and the damn thing pesters me about using my own bags. Then it constantly tells me that i need assistance for stupid shit. I can see where hes coming from

I love using them to get cash out as well. Faster than an ATM and no withdraw fee.

I've only ever experienced one problem with them and that was once when I accidentally scanned some chocolate milk twice and had to ask the cashier to remove it. It only took like an extra ten seconds of my time however, so I don't know what Maddox's problem is.
My problem with self checkout lanes(the first time) is that it would take a while for the thing to register so I ended up scanning the same thing twice and I had to call for help so they could fix my mistake

They're probably mad at how his podcast ended. He had some kind of falling out with his co-host and made a final episode of him congratulating himself on doing such a great job on the podcast without even mentioning his co-host. When his fans asked what happened, he went radio silent and blocked them. I get that Maddox is a character, but that doesn't excuse you to treat your loyal fans like dirt, some of which have been following his work since the 90s.

Don't forget Maddox shutting down the entire website and removing TBPITU from podcast apps. Dick(the cohost) had to back everything up on his own website, and has been consistently answering fan questions regarding the debacle on his new podcast The Dick Show.
I'm seriously starting to think that Maddox isn't really a character at all. Still like his work, but he's going a bit too far when it comes to alienating his fanbase
