I wish I had some friends to mess around with like that in dark RP. When me and my friends play they usually just run around and see how many people they can kill/screw with before being banned.
Me and FPP do this type of stuff from time to time. Last time we RP'd Tunnel Snakes and one of us became mayor and made it a law to stay underground because it was a nuclear winter or else we'd kill them. It was fun. The admin wouldn't do anything either.
I would play DarkRP all the time if this was how it normally was.

I could put some money towards that if this became an actual thing. Servers go for dirt cheap these days.
The problem with hosting a Dark RP server is that default Dark RP sucks. I can only play on Friendly Players server because it's loaded with shit that makes it fun. Speaking of which, that server confused the hell out of me when I first went on, as many people had FP tags.

Let me shop around for a bit, it's been a while.
Also, if you find a hoster with low prices, but aren't too keen on the service you can usually get most hosting companies to match the price. That's what I used to do with my Minecraft server, was paying almost 50% less than I would have paid otherwise.

Alright, shopped around some of the cheapest hosts I know, made a list.
Nitrous Networks - 32 Slot - £14.40
INX (Branded) - 32 Slot - £15.65
Vilayer (Branded, Unbranded £1 more) - 32 Slot - £8.96
GTX Gaming - 32 Slot - £14.40
Jargen - 32 Slot - £12.80
All prices are in GBP. Vilayer as cheap as chips and I've used them before to host a CS:S server. Had excellent support and had no problems with the server.
If we were going to do this I'd strongly suggest going with Vilayer.
I think 15-16 players is too low, I think 32 is the optimum amount for a good community.
If the cost was split three ways, it would amount to £3 (or 3.80 euro) each. A three way split would also make the server easier to manage.
In CSRP, there you can sell drugs.
Basically a Gang lord or mobboss buys a refinery for 1k.
Then a drug dealers sells them a shipment of coke for 1k.
Then you stick that into the refinery and refine it.
Later you sell it to a subway npc for 400 per bag, getting 2k in profit.

People wouldn't be attracted to a 16 slot server in the first place though, with 32 we have the ability to expand the userbase without waiting a month to upgrade the amount of slots on the server. Plus, with the FP community I'm sure the server would be filling up within a week or two of going live.
I ran a Gmod RP server about a year ago with a similar slot size, the server was 4/5 full on average during the day time within a week of going live.
I would be happy to put £4 a month towards the server, which would mean that the contribution for the other two people would be just £2.50 per month.
Yep, might be a good idea for everyone who wants to be involved to join a steam group or something.
I'm on board although I'm not so sure about its potential success.
If it did fail £2.50 is only the cost of a Facepuncher's weekly fap tissue allowance anyway.
