God, it's so annoying when friends of mine let review scores get in the way of even trying a game. I have a friend who, unless IGN gave it a nine or above, won't even look at a game. If I try to get him to try a game that is highly reviewed by everyone BUT IGN, he still won't try it because he 'doesn't trust their opinions'.
I didn't even think it was possible for there to be an "IGN fanboy" until I met him...
I usually don't trust games with a score higher than 90 if it's been hyped

If i'm in doubt to buy a game yeah or no i watch reviews from YouTube users, not the bigger gaming sites.

I've bought games based on gameplay videos before, the videos always make the game look better than it is.

I've always found it to be the opposite, videos often make the game look like crap even if it's the most engrossing, enjoyable thing ever

Reviews don't have to have Gameplay videos they just put it in for the sake of something to see while they say their opinion.You don't trust people's reviews as much as an official review.Thats why
you take a bunch of people's opinions and judge the game on what you see in gameplay videos
Reviewers are getting paid to write reviews. That's why i think there's some bias against reviewers.
