And there's a free weekend running from the 28th to the 30th that lets you play multiplayer, the tutorial, and a campaign mission, be sure to tell your friends about it
Titanfall 2 has been the best game I have bought this year. The free content the developers are constant pushing out warms my heart.

It's a bit cheaper than buying the packs for the Titans you hardly use, but these guys deserve my money. If it means Titanfall 3 will appear on our horizons then bring it on!
Titanfall 2 is easily one of the best game purchases I've made in recent memory, and it just keeps on giving.
it's a shame PUBG took me away from my time away from this game because I do generally love this game so much
After watching this video I decided to try the trial on origin. I bought the game immediately afterwards. Holy shit this game is good.
I've owned this game for like 6 months now. I really should install it sooner or later, especially since everyone I've talked to says with confidence it will sate my itch for fast-paced twitch shooters, a la old school Quake or Doom 2016's campaign.

Very low TTK, hitscan weapons are present as a primary weapon option alongside explosive projectile weapons - I think you're better off just hopping into the campaign to start, Titanfall is pretty unique-feeling in practice.
I swear I have never played a game that makes the movement around map feel so good. Really glad they're finally rolling out this mode. Loved it in first before the playerbase completely died down.
Easily one of the better first person shooters I've played in quite a long time. Way more fun for me than Overwatch for example. The movement in this game feels so good, other games just don't hold a candle to it.

While Overwatch keeps getting worse, TF|2 keeps getting better.
Personally I just couldn't get into Titanfall 2's multiplayer, largely because Titans weren't fun to fight against nor were they fun to play as, and unlocking stuff took too damn long. Whatever though, I understand that many people enjoy it, and I also think Titanfall 2 sets some of the best examples of supporting your game and having a great business model which I think other publishers/developers should follow.
wut? At launch Tone was stupid fucking OP but titans like Ronin, Northstar, and Scorch remained as fun (and challenging) alternatives that had drastically differently gameplay from one another. Additionally, you could unlock stuff with tokens and credits too instead of waiting for higher ranks - but I still don't think unlocks are slow, and I felt like most weapon unlocks proceeded ridiculously fast
Unlocking just feels slow at first because you don't have any credits to buy what you want, you suck ass at the game so you're not leveling up fast, and if you don't like the starter weapons then you're going to be even slower at leveling up and unlocking the others
Titanfall 2 would seriously be my next 1000 hour game right now if it's able to just connect to matches more reliably and had more players. [sp]and had all hitscans needed to the fucking dirt[/sp]

I quit shortly after launch but right before I did I regenerated which means I'm unlocking things over and it is so damn slow, especially because half the teams I'm playing against are spearheaded by parties of people who are gen 10+.

I'm not a fan of the merit system. I much preferred the regular ol' XP system they had in the first game.

I think certain hitscans might still warrant tweaks (hi r97, perhaps a little bit alternator,) and then a couple of ARs, and then we're good. If someone's actually claiming that all hitscan really need a hard nerf into the ground I think there's a skill problem instead of the game being broken. The SMR, Softball, and somewhat the EPG are stupidly powerful if you can utilize them well. Titans-wise as well I think balance is pretty decent too. I like to switch between them often and none feel really ridiculous imo. Ion and tone still stand out, but that's to be expected from generalists, I don't think they're broken anymore. Although I do think tone is badly designed, as in, is un-fun to play against. That's a separate issue from being OP tho. I've clocked about 68 hours so that's something like 13 hours to hit max level. I think a happy hour buff would be nice; perhaps make it apply for 3 games. I think unlocks are mostly the problem, your first regen or two are hell, forcing you to up everything. Some equipment should probably have their credit costs reduced.
there's a general issue with SMGs being both almost better assault rifles and almost always the best weapons to use, even the CAR's real real good right now but I'm not sure it's busted i'm worried what will happen with a nerf though because the flatline got fucking dumpstered when it finally got tweaked
Well this seems to be the route respawn are going down, so we'll find out perhaps. One important thing to remember though is the kind of game titanfall 2 is, with the high-speed generally close-quarters gameplay, you're pretty much going to have SMGs being the most generally applicable class of weapons. I think the flatline bust was kind of necessary, and that they really should look at it again. Beforehand the stupid amounts of damage it would do was pretty much the counterweight to how otherwise unusable it was (aiming was useless without tap firing.) Now that it is effectively outclassed, Respawn might give it a redesign.
I will admit of being guilty of using the hitscan ARs regularly, but you can't really deny that at least the R97/CAR in particular can be way too brainless good if you remotely know how to point and pull down the mouse. Wouldn't be as bothered if they didn't nerf the EVA and instead just buff the Memestiff.
