Wow , I'm surprised this even has goldeneye on it. First off we're shown that they are changing whole new sections ; the sleazy bar which bond meets with Valentin Zukovsky is now a Sci-fi nightclub , A museum appears out of nowhere , The cradle has COMPLETELY GONE , we're also shown that bond is now facing AI with a challenge , and Ouromov is now spewing out shitty lines. If this is what has happened to mere portions of the game , I'm worried to death as to what the final product will be. I'm horrified. Since the cradle has been swapped with a solar power plant , this completely changes the story as the cradle was the link to the goldeneye satellite... how can a solar plant link to a satellite? They've obviously changed parts of the story , making it less and less like goldeneye. 0:46 , what hud , completely different and very much new style.
Lol I like how the graphics are shitty PS2 tier. Looks a little fun though might play it on my sisters wii
If you ignore the fact that it's totally not a remake, but more of a re-imagining, it looks kinda fun.
AA, there is none.
If you ignore the fact that it's totally not a remake, but more of a re-imagining, it looks kinda fun.
They obviously imagined it wrongly then
I don't know; it looks good to me. I'll probably buy it.
The graphics look the same.
This looks like a terrible wreck of one of the best Bond films, and a terrible remake of one of the best games ever. This makes me glad I still have my N64 and Goldeneye. Also, why the hell did they model Craig in a game "based" off a Brosnan film?
This actually looks like a lot of fun.
I certainly hope they consider changing the cover.
Sounds to me like the OP was expecting an updated engine and that's it. It actually looks good. Just because you have an intense feeling of nostalgia for the original Goldeneye game doesn't mean this is bad.

I was expecting something like Black Mesa : Source ; everything has been recreated , obviously with the same story , areas , ideas , looks , with a tad new features. This however is completely new game.
It looks like a great quality game, but definitely not a remake. The cancelled Xbox version is a remake. This is quite loosely tied to the original. Kind of what I was expecting, but oh well. If I want to play the original GoldenEye I'll play the original GoldenEye.

I know if it "ain't broke, don't fix it" but I think this will be a great game. On a final note, why does the Wii seem to look worse than the Gamecube? The Gamecube had Anti-Aliasing and this doesn't for some reason.
Because no one except Nintendo themselves seem to know how to utilize the Wii to its fullest potential. Quite honestly, the major reason people will probably flame this is because they think it's supposed to be a remake and their nostalgia will make them go nuts. Think of it as something new based off something old.
well...actually...
Need some serious AA.
I still can't get over how they're using Craig instead of Brosnan.
Oh Jesus. No fucking shit. If anyone ever believed, that this game would be any good, then he's a total dipshit. It was clear from the beginning that this was only being made because the original was good.
AA.

I just noticed how shitty the Wii's graphics are. I mean I knew they were bad, but this is worse than I expected.
Screw those old shadows where a mesh were properly projected onto the surface behind it! This is next-gen, we'll use a highres 64x64 texture to create a blob beneath the characters.
I bet Craig begged to be in on it.
I still can't get over how they're using Craig instead of Brosnan.
Brosnan was the best Bond bond ever, I can't get over how his last movie already happened. I'll always and forever see him as bond though.
Brosnan was the best Bond bond ever, I can't get over how his last movie already happened. God damn it. Cradle was the best level. Complaining aside I'd definitely play it.
Seems pretty good for a re-imagining, in my opinion. If it was a remake I'd be pissed, but it's not. The only thing I don't like about it is that Daniel Craig is in it instead.
I'm missing Ourumov as the villain. They replaced him with some generic bald guy it seems... I think the original actors aren't in it because of licensing issues.
I'll stick to the original. also no Brosnan? what the hell.
