Holy SHIT
The torque that thing must make is insane, it looks like it hits its top speed in no time.

I still prefer non electric bikes because of that awesome sound. I bet that affects you as a driver terribly. When you let off or brake into a corner, the sound of the RPMs is a huge indicator for where you want to be during the turn, without it you have to go purely by sight and that's harder, because you'll either have to guess it, or take your eyes off the road for a second to look at your speedo if you have one. I guess with a bike it might be a bit easier since you can feel how tight you're turning vs the angle you're leaning
He has a fitting last name for a guy who sets records. Or he could be a very ironic alcoholic. Anyways, how fast did this guy go at top speed?
john mcguiness is the god of the TT although I only really care about the senior TT [editline]10th June 2014[/editline]
I bet that affects you as a driver terribly. I don't ride visually now that I'm so used to knowing where I should be in a corner, I don't listen to the rpms as much either because i have headphones playing music.
Around the first corner it sounds like he is turning on his hyperdrive.
Around the first corner it sounds like he is turning on his hyperdrive.
Reminds me of this. Its entering warp.
Now this is pod racing!
When electric bikes become somewhat popular I'd purchase one. I cannot drive regular bikes just because of the noise pollution
gotta say, that electrical bike sound is much cooler

What do you mean by RPMs, relying on sight and where you want to be in the turn? Do you mean the lines they take around corners? Looking at the dash to see what RPMs they're at in the turn? If that's what you mean then throttle control and braking are the most important as long as RPMs aren't low. I'm just having a little trouble understanding what you're saying.
I rode one of these Zeroes (the dirtbike variant) when they were very new. It was the strangest feeling, because it's so quiet; but the strangest thing was the lack of engine braking. You let off the gas and it just keeps rolling. It took a bit of getting used to.

This video shows speedometers but it's from multiple different races.

The sounds on the electric bike are futuristic as hell.
