The fake enthusiasm and voice inflections hurt
When Jake does a more classic styled VSauce video (this one aside from the intro) I feel like he goes a bit overboard on the inflection in order to keep attention for the long period of time. I really like the way they did the "Can You Live Forever" video, which was one of the story-type ones He didn't go overboard with the inflections/enthusiasm as they had a way to keep your attention compared to this where it's mostly still shots of him talking.
Give me a list of Pokemon that probably couldn't kill you.
Give me a list of Pokemon that probably couldn't kill you.
Directly? Metapod.
I don't like how they brought up a study that concludes that magnetic fields can give you cancer, then immediately after say that it's bullshit and inconclusive. Why even bring it up if it's irrelevant information?

I mean I want kids because I just want someone to help see the world and shit, not for any sort of legacy. Yeah I hope they have kids too but for the same reason as me. wilted flowers on the beautiful plant of life my ass, i ain't buying that hokey pseudo-philosophy talk. people buying into that idea is exactly why we havent found a way to live forever yet, if people really stood up and said 'hey i want to live forever' then we'd be making progress at least. people just sit back and go 'no death is beautiful'. fuck that grammy i wanna live to see the suns explode and destroy the future space utopias mmk
Give me a list of Pokemon that probably couldn't kill you.
Magikarp At least until you club enough people with it to make a Gyrados
Magikarp At least until you club enough people with it to make a Gyrados
Wrong, actually. Someone has actually gone over this in a video that according to the Pokedex, a Magikarp can jump over a mountain. It landing on you is enough to kill you.
Directly? Metapod.
No, turns out that Metapod has a shotgun hidden underneath its shell
So his argument that pikachu's shock is lethal is only that the attack is rated at 100,000V - but only just over a minute earlier he mentions tasers that shock at much higher voltages I feel like zero effort is put into Vsauce3

I know the video isn't that great but did you even watch it?
Did you? His only rationalisation is ohms law
So his argument that pikachu's shock is lethal is only that the attack is rated at 100,000V - but only just over a minute earlier he mentions tasers that shock at much higher voltages I feel like zero effort is put into Vsauce3
It's amps that kill you, not volts [editline]24th July 2015[/editline] a quick google search says100,000v volt charge through a human body would be somewhere between 10-330amps
Did you? His only rationalisation is ohms law
But he literally said that the reason tasers aren't lethal is because they have lower amps?? Are we watching the same video
Wrong, actually. Someone has actually gone over this in a video that according to the Pokedex, a Magikarp can jump over a mountain. It landing on you is enough to kill you.
I thought they could only jump around 7 feet, then looked this up and this dude on reddit said 2-D mountains only go to 6 foot. Gotta agree, sorry. [editline]24th July 2015[/editline] Also what are some of you people complaining about this video was just as informative as they usually are. It had even less filler than I would have expected from Vsauce3. What's the problem. Also regarding the electromagnetic cancer possibility, he said the results were mixed or inconclusive, not straight up bullshit. I don't know anything about it one way or the other, just repeating what he said. If it is bullshit you should post why with sources though, spread the knowledge.
Also what are some of you people complaining about this video was just as informative as they usually are.
Yeah but those boxes though. They're very convincing.
But he literally said that the reason tasers aren't lethal is because they have lower amps?? Are we watching the same video
It appears I need to spell this out for you ohm's law V=IR we need current so I=V/R His reference document for human body's resistance - 100,000 ohms Lethal dose (yes across the heart but he didn't make a distinction in the video so neither will I) - 0.007 A Pikachu 100,000V 100,000/100,000 = 1A LETHAL Taser 3,500,000 V handheld taser as stated in video 3,500,000/100,000 = 35A NOT LETHAL??? Ohm's law - you can't have higher voltage without higher current, as the body's resistance doesn't change significantly Look I don't actually care about the specifics of this, only my original argument - They put Zero effort into VSauce3
