If you wanna see the calm Joe, skip to around 6:00.
He nails it at around 4:30. The problem isn't bugs. A game with as many moving parts as Battlefield 4 is bound to launch with some bugs. What's more aggravating is the nature of some of these issues. It clearly shows that almost no time was spent testing the final product.
The speed of fixing these problems and developer communication is also lacking. We are two weeks after release and easily reproduceable bugs are still in place with no news as to when we will get a fix.

UPDATE #6 (Nov 11):
Quick Update Update
Just a quick update: We don't have an ETA on the client updates just yet, but we will have information on these soon. We will let you know as soon as we have more detail. Stay tuned, and thanks for your patience.
Not even an ETA.
I'd love to get BF4, the problem is that it costs so damn much if you don't want to be left out as soon as all the map packs start coming out, like fuck I'm paying £44 for premium on top of the £34 game itself.
why he doesn't go back to BF3
it works like ice

I had no problem finding vanilla BF3 servers up to two weeks before BF4's release.

A quick look at Battlefield 3 battlelog actually shows far more non-premium/non-DLC servers than ones that require owning either.
Snipping this since i am a bad reader.
Are you even reading what he posted?
Yes? The post reads like he feels the need to buy premium for Battlefield 4 or be left out by the time the DLC packs come out. I was explaining how this didn't happen in BF3 so probably won't happen in BF4.
Big game devs really need to step up with the Quality Assurance. For the past few years this has been such a clustefuck with big titles.

You can get it from Mexico for 68$ bf4+premium

Yeah but I'd have to pay for shipping which would probably bump the price back up.
I haven't had one crash yet. I do agree that this needs to be fixed, though.

You don't need to pay for shipping, unless you want a physical copy, get a mexican proxy and buy it from Origin Mexico
Reminds me of first BF3 times.
Dice's QA gets done largely at EA Vancouver. It's a problem.
Reading a bug report isn't the same as asking the tester.
And when the testers are across the ocean, shit happens.
didn't ea skip qa to compete with ghosts
and tested multiplayer with betas
didn't ea skip qa to compete with ghosts

They didn't skip it, they rushed QA guys through it like madmen. I can only imagine the list of bugs and shit QA team gave EA, and how they said "well fuck it, MONEY IS TOO LOUD TO HEAR ANYTHING!"
BTW from what I've heard from the guy who leaked that info, EA fired the tester who provided the leak. So don't leak EA's dirty laundry, I guess.

And that's probably another reason why EA's quality assurance is so low; because people aren't willing to test for them if that's how they do it.
TELL ME ONE GAME THAT DOES NOT CRASH ON WINDOWS 7.... even though that my pc can play bf3,4 or so, i prefer not to play em on my pc, for that specific reason.. WINDOWS7 suck on gaming, even after a sh*tload of updates on a game, it will still crash...i wont change my winXPsp3 to win7, NEVER! i prefer to play my older games which are made for winXP and never crash
please tell me it's satire
His rant on the video card made me laugh.
I have an old ass HD6870 that has been chugging along for like 4 years now, and it's dying. But it still does the job :v:
But I agree, paying so much fucking money from broken shit has become a normal business practice.
I don't usually buy Battlefield or Call of Duty games, both for the same reason.
I just don't see the point in buying one when another sequel is coming out in 11 months anyway.
Battlefield 4's Multiplayer is surprisingly really good, but holy god is it buggy.

"why should you expect a game your spent money on to work properly"
this is what you sound like right now
Random crashes and even shittier launch than bf3, the game itself is kinda good but not really to be considered a "true" bf-game.
At least he can even get into a game without crashing 5 times while loading.
My biggest problem with BF4 is how much they are charging for a bloody broken PC game at launch. Campaign was half arsed and served only to inflate the cost of the game development as well the cost on consumers. Ultimately this detracted resources away from content creation and quality assurance testing on the aspect that everyone who intends to buy the game looks forward to, the multiplayer!
It's nice to see Angry Joe actually angry. It was fun to watch because it sums up much of our grief with the recent BF games.
I was playing with him and in the teamspeak when this happened, at first it was pretty funny since he threw his mic and all we could hear was a bunch of rustling and him in the background storming around going "FUCKING EA YOU FUCKS GOD FUCKING FUCK" but he made some very valid points.

Wait so the whole thing broadcast over TS? That would have been hilarious.
LOL I love the epic fake mad! LOL!
