This is a legitimate comment on that video.
You know, with technology becoming more and more ubiquitous in daily life, you'd think that cutting your kids off from it at an early age would fuck them up when they actually become independent.
Nobody likes me. IT MUST BE TECHNOLOGY'S FAULT. THAT'S THE ONLY POSSIBLE EXPLANATION. STOP TECHNOLOGY.

I mean, I get the fact that parents might think it's a good idea, considering that's the conditions most of them grew up in. However, they also grew up in a completely different world where computers barely existed and were mostly a novelty. Now that computer technology's been around for a while, you have things like online banking, e-mail and word processing that are absolutely essential to succeeding in the workplace and life in general; that's only going to get more prevalent as time goes on, so why not prepare for that and just let your fucking kid use the computer?
This video is a bit extreme, and because of that people interpret it a little too strongly. It's not saying don't use technology, it's just saying don't use it all the time, or else you'll miss out on the analog world and all the great things it has. Also don't be obsessed with tech either. It's reaching out to people who don't have a balance between the two.
I'd still like to know where to get that song playing in the background.
Heh, the reason why I am a recluse is because I'm introverted, hell, I'm even introverted on the internet, lurking most of the time, not everyone can be as social as the average person.
Help I fear technology and am afraid of change
Help I fear technology and am afraid of change
It's a simple anecdote that basically means stop being addicted to your phone and replacing it with physical socialization, chill out. [editline]sd[/editline] people are misunderstanding who this is supposed to be directed to. it's not supposed to be directed to the people that have a distinct balance between the two, it's supposed to be for people that don't ever stop using their phones and would rather use their phones than do pretty much anything else, and whenever they choose do do anything else they use the phone while they are doing that something else. it's a simple form of addiction, i think.
