The Irony.
What exactly is ironic about it?
BLM often makes hateful remarks against the police.
BLM often makes hateful remarks against the police.
because all blm supporters hate/fear police. nice!
hehe its funny when someone gets robbed because I dont like what they say
BLM often makes hateful remarks against the police.
There's lots of BLM people that hate every cop, but there's also lots of BLM people that understand not all cops are bad. Unless this guy specifically said "fuck every single last cop in America", there's nothing ironic about this. There is definitely a problem with race regarding the police. I support the idea of BLM, but not the execution, because the execution involves a lot of ignorance and shaming of police. Not every supporter is like that.
BLM often makes hateful remarks against the police.
I can't find anywhere where this guy does. He doesn't seem to have a problem with good cops at all.
because all blm supporters hate/fear police. nice!
I think it's more the argument that police are a net negative to the black community; one of the factors that are keeping it oppressed.
hehe its funny when someone gets robbed because I dont like what they say
It's funny because BLM leaders usually say "FUCK the police!", and now that they got robbed they're asking for more police.
Hah. Color me surprised.
It's funny because BLM leaders usually say "FUCK the police!", and now that they got robbed they're asking for more police.
they, they, they perhaps you should read this again, despite how obvious the reasoning is:
There's lots of BLM people that hate every cop, but there's also lots of BLM people that understand not all cops are bad.
I think it's more the argument that police are a net negative to the black community; one of the factors that are keeping it oppressed.
yeah institutional racism is mostly municipal (and sometimes statewide) i guess if there was an independent institution for handling crimes committed by officers and effective regulation and training by the state or fed gov't that might help a bit.
Half the threads in this section (okay, slightly exaggerating here) are like alt-right political shit right now, is this just a trend because of the US election or is it going to be a permanent thing now?
Why have a racist name like Black Lives Matter anyway? Would All Lives Matter not be more fitting?
Oh Christ, here we go.
Oh Christ, here we go.
It's a pretty legitimate question, though. The amount of black people killed by the police is not disproportionate at all.
The name comes from the impression BLM supporters/members have that police killings of black citizens is not a disproportionate number, but rather that in cases of true injustice black victims disproportionately do not receive justice. That's my impression, at least.
Half the threads in this section (okay, slightly exaggerating here) are like alt-right political shit right now, is this just a trend because of the US election or is it going to be a permanent thing now?
I think we're seeing a shift in attitudes in response to the antics of the SJW left.
Why have a racist name like Black Lives Matter anyway? Would All Lives Matter not be more fitting?
"Black Lives Matter" is not the same as "ONLY Black Lives Matter".

The problem is that BLM hasn't really made awareness for this idea because it is something we are all aware of. All the movement has done is feed ignorance and destroy any racial progress.
lol
:snip: I probably shouldn't do this

But it's a hot bed for idiots and racially ignorant people to spew hatred on platforms given to them because the cause itself, without all the people involved is inherently just. The people you normally hear about in SH just skew it and fuck it up for everyone.

That's my impression, at least.
The problem is that they both call attention to actual injustices (like that time an incompetent policeman shot a black guy at a traffic stop because he mistook his license for a gun) and cases where the use of lethal force was justified (violent criminals who threatened police officers). It's kind of hard to consider them a proper civil rights movement when it seems they don't actually care about whether or not the police is justified in their actions.
I remember when facism was hot shit here, give it time and it will pass.
Communism as well, but its probably still pretty prevalent.
Communism as well, but its probably still pretty prevalent.
The only commies left over are nutters, really. The alt-right/neo-nazi BS will probably fade in the next year or two
the alt-right shit will fade away a bit if trump doesnt become president. if he does, however, its going to increase like crazy.
The Irony.
I thought BLM is just against unfounded police brutality. And not against police in general. I don't see the irony
The only commies left over are nutters, really. The alt-right/neo-nazi BS will probably fade in the next year or two
Rising food and oil supply problems over the next generation will bring increased economic strife and immigration issues. Both of these are the underlying causes of tensions that evoke nationalist or xenophobic ideology. [editline]14th September 2016[/editline]
I think we're seeing a shift in attitudes in response to the antics of the SJW left.
and definitely not shitty excuses like this one, as if a few silly or controversial college campus ideas would change a nation's ideology in such a short span
Why have a racist name like Black Lives Matter anyway? Would All Lives Matter not be more fitting?
lemme break this down, black lives matter means all lives matter. when you have an organization like save the polar bears, their mission is to save something that's believed to be threatened and in danger. They aren't also preaching "hey fuck every other kind of bear out there this is the only one that matters". Polar bears are just disproportionately more threatened due to climate change and habitat loss.
