When he visits a shopping mall in the US everything is fine but when he visits a museum in the Netherlands they have to build this near it for protection?

He's visiting the NSS which is hosted in the Netherlands. He'll be visiting a museum in Amsterdam and they're building that huge wall of containers around some park where I think his heli will land or something, near the US consulate.
cant trust the dutch

People near there aren't allowed to open their windows or go up to their balconies to watch Obama, like wtf kind of bs is that.

Yup, sounds like something we would do.

Was the same when he visited KTH here in Sweden. I'm not even on the main campus and the roads and subways were closed down. They told students not to open the curtains on the main campus because there are snipers on the roofs.
An entire city paralyzed because of one man's visit. :v:

I'm not going to class on monday (in a different city), because trains are going to be too full and probably late, due to highways into the city being closed off for the NSS.

Traffic in LA completely stops when he visits, especially where I live, since he uses the hotel 3 blocks away from me.

Traffic in LA is always at a stand still.

Meanwhile while I was stuck in a traffic jam his limo went by in the opposite direction a few weeks ago
I'm still waiting for Obama to follow through on the tattoo thing. I hope it's as great as I imagine it'd be.
First Between Two Ferns and now this. Healthcare.gov really seems like a good idea, the stories I read how much people have to pay for medical bills is insane. Public Healthcare is mandatory here and I honestly couldn't imagine life without it. It's just a good feeling you know you can let yourself get checked out and get help whatever it may be.
Why does Obama get so much shit again and from what groups? How can anybody hate this guy, he is down to earth, appears to care about the people and overall seems to know what he is doing.
I'm not an U.S. Citizen so I could be talking out of my ass right now, feel free to clear me up on that if that's the case.

He gets shit from the left because he doesn't go hard enough on getting actual socialized health care (even though he's trying his hardest to go in that direction)
He gets shit from the right because the American Right are fucking idiots.

It's not, it doesn't have to be.
The american right is worse than the taliban.
I can say that because it's the fucking internet and nobody should give a shit.

Of all the reasons the American Right hate Obama I haven't heard a single reasonable one. It's always shit like "he's a socialist" or "he's a Muslim" or "the ACA is Government takeover of healthcare"
I met a person on the bus the other day that thought that Obama specifically made it so that Muslims didn't have to get health insurance. I looked it up on my phone and proved him wrong and fortunately he actually believed me. This is the problem though, a large amount of people who hate Obama do so because they believe stupid bullshit they get in their emails spread around by their right-wing friends. I live in a very liberal part of the US (Oregon) and I still saw a guy standing at the corner in downtown Newberg with a giant picture of Obama with a Hitler mustache. I shudder to think of the type of ignorant feces flinging goes on in places like Mississippi and Kansas.
Obama is a great President! The real problem is the fucked up and corrupt Senate, i dont think that people know that the Senate have more power than the president and that the president cant do anything without their approval, so they blame everything on the president.
US just gotta fix the corruption in the senate. Corporations have a too big influence on the US politics

I'm from the other side of the world and ANY news I have ever heard about the right wing party of the American Goverment is that they are all religious nutcases who'd crucify gays if they could, are racist to no end and conservative as hell.
They are effectively hindering Obama at getting the country forward.
Watching Bill O' Reilly once has told me everything I need to know about right wing supporters. If all people are like that, oh boy, no wonder you don't like Obama, he is actually trying to help America, god forbid.
Feel free to prove me wrong though.

The American left is pretty much equal to the right-wing in most other developed countries, the American right in, for instance, Europe would be considered one of those crazy fringe groups that get a few hundred votes in an election. The right-wing in America is certainly not equal in ideals or sanity to the right-wing as a general concept.

The problem is mostly the senate and government itself is pretty fucked at this point, and the president is the poster child face of the government
There are also issues that aren't frequently discussed but politically aware folks know about, such as the pakistani drone strikes. Keep in mind that while presidents generally always are good PR folks for their supporters, US presidents are a lot more alike than you might realize. We give bush shit for the war in Iraq but there's nothing saying that Obama wouldn't have done the same stuff, especially considering he's got his own infamous marks himself. Just that Obama is much better than bush was at public speaking and keeping the public eye focused on other things.
As far as it comes to stuff such as the ACA, the whole system is often criticized that it just simply isn't as good or efficent as it should be. But that's kind of an overall issue with the government in the US as a whole and pretty much the story of it. Its one of the things liberatarians frequently hold to - distrust in the government and wanting the government's power to be downsized because of how much tax wasting and inefficency goes on. While I certainly agree personally that the government wastes a ton of money and time in the current system, I don't think the solution is to straight up downsize and reduce its power. It would be far better to actually fix the problems with it that prevent it from running as good as it should, and fix problems in the government that prevent things that actually need lots of money to work from actually being good (i.e. healthcare, education funding, etc.).

Not as much as you'd think, actually, although it might just be less public here in Mississippi than in other areas. I happened to be in the state capital during a Tea Party demonstration and it was just like, 5 guys standing quietly under a tent without any Obama == Hitler signs or anything. It was kind of silly :v:
There are definitely people who post typo-filled Facebook rants (if they even own computers) about how much of Muslim socialist devil worshiper Obama is, but for the most part the people I've seen can either explain why they like or dislike his policies or just keep their opinions to themselves.
