My experience with the newest Cabela title
The Cabela series is sorta terrible and sorta awesome. From what I remember, the previous game starts out with some fairly average hunting stuff, and then goes full blown into batshitfuckery territory to the point where where you're fighting ravenous gorillas in an abandoned experimental warfare facility in the heart of Africa. [sp]the game eventually culminates in you fighting a giant wolf monster in your fathers burning trophy lodge[/sp] Its like they realized their target market was so small and borderline nonexistant that they just decided to make their game about whatever the fuck so long as it involved shooting lots of animals.

Also note that that game was actually the more realistic one. Up until you get the assault rifle (at which point you're not really hunting anymore) you have weapons that hunters actually use. Chip and Ironicus did a let's play of that one (http://chipandironicus.com/videos/hunt/) And Matt and Patt made one of their "best of" machinema videos for a Wii Cabella game.

Never actually played the games personally but the LP is enough to give you enough of a grasp on it. Come to think of it there's a weird fucking undercurrent of patriarchy and redemption that flows through the whole "story", which just makes the game even more bizarre.
PETA needs to see this awesomeness.
This game looks fucking awesome
Do you even have ammo? Or are you carrying a whole rucksack filled to the brim with bullets and magazines?
Those House of the Dead sounds made me grin like an idiot, nice job on putting in those lol They should make the next Dangerous Hunts, have zombie animals, zombie elephants, hippos, sharks, tigers, etc. would be hilariously fun

But since you get to carry a sniper rilfe, a shotgun, and a deagle with unlimited ammo and there's ammo scattered every few feet I don't really pay attention to my ammo count. This looks kinda like Far Cry 2.
Oh man those house of the dead sounds killed me:v:
At the end you find out that your partner was working for the Cheetahs all along.
My friend has had his XBL beacon saying he wants friends to play Cabela's Dangerous Hunts with him. I now understand why.
This looks kinda like Far Cry 2.
i swear i heard FC2 music in that video now i really wanna play it
It very much reminds me of my own hunting video, Hunting the Humane way Nothing beats shooting an innocent virtual animal right in its big stupid face
This isn't the cabelas I played.
I was half expecting there to be a bear chase scene like in Condemned 2.
I sure hope the sequel includes a misson where you have to skydive into the Artic Ocean to hunt Giant Radioactive polar bears using a Butterknife
Modern Day Shoot'em Up.
GOTY 2012. It actually looks fun.
Played the old ones. I actually wish it was some kind of game where you can go anywhere you like and buy weapons and just hunt. Unlocking better weapons, accessories, bullets and places as you level up. Sorta like the Fishing Master on wii (boy that game was addictive as fuck even though it was the same thing all over).

Hmm. Never actually noticed about the existence of Hunting Expeditions. Thanks!
