Always love this guy's videos. Short, to the point, and pretty great production quality. For people not familiar with him by now, I really recommend checking out his YouTube channel.
He really does have a point about how Bugs Bunny has aged so well in both animation and personality.
Funny, I never once saw him as an American character when I was younger. He kinda stood on himself to me.
bugs bunny is such a little shithead
bugs bunny is such a little shithead
Then you haven't seen early daffy.
I'm glad he pointed out how well/memorable Bugs is (Actually alot of the Looney Toons themselves have quite memorable personalities) compared to any of the mainline Disney characters.

I think it also brings up how much animation has gone backwards over the past few years.

He didn't say that, plus it depends how you look at it and not just cherry-picking examples.
Then you haven't seen early daffy.
Hell, modern Daffy's probably worse. The Looney Tunes Show had the various characters trying to live out their life relatively normally, and Daffy shares a house with Bugs. Daffy's easily one of the most despicable characters in the series because of just how selfish, ignorant, and plain neglectful he is. He even once took all of Porky's life savings to buy a yacht with a bunch of extra shit he didn't need, but missed vital things they needed to get them back to land, stranding himself, Porky and Bugs at sea. Porky had one of the few times he ever lost his shit as he went berserk, and Daffy just blames Porky for everything all the while.
Much better than his last video. Glad he returned to form
I like KK's videos allot, but I think I'm losing what it is he's trying to do. He's not critiquing his subjects, and doesn't really add anything new to the conversations about them. I suppose in the end, I would just call them visually pleasing celebrations. They're certainly enjoyable to watch, but ultimately kind of pointless imo.

I know, but many cartoons nowadays just don't have the same level of expression for their characters like the ones of the old, as shown in the video. They all just seem so "flat" and "minimalistic" which makes them feel less alive to me. They look more like puppets than cartoon characters. There are exceptions, of course, but they seem few and far between.
EDIT:
Not only do I think the animation aged well, but it outdoes many modern examples.
At first just seeing "Bug Bunny" and "Origins" my mind immediately went like "oh god a gritty bugs bunny remake"

Well, something of that sort was already made and released...

Still my favorite from him

I see his videos like a friend really trying to get you into something he likes.

i forgot how much WB gives 0 shits about relatively adult content in their cartoons. Having daffy mow down russians while screaming about he's the only one allowed to lie is fantastic

Are you kidding me? That show is the best, and it fixed Lola Bunny

Huh, i thought the new Looney Tunes serie with Bugs,Daffy and Porky was mediocre.
But seeing as there is gun's and shit in it, i'm willing to give it a second chance.
Man I actually really liked that series. It was like LooneyTunes mixed with Portlandia.
Porky's long digitigrade legs were creepy tho
The new Looney Tunes show is amazing. I don't get where all the hate is coming from.
maybe if the animation wasn't so stiff
I grew up on Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo, my father made sure of it. I can name them all off just on their identifiable silhouette alone.
That alongside Mel Brooks and Monty Python gave me a love for intelligent slapstick that burns unabated to this day.
It's why I also have a love for Cartoon Network over Nickolodeon and Disney because CN continued that sort of humor in fantastic shows like Ed Edd not Eddy and Courage the Cowardly Dog.
I also liked the Sitcom they did with the Looney Tunes characters because it just helped highlight Bugs' everyman, Daffy's insane narcissism and Porky's stepping mat personality. They also fixed Lola.

It definitely has lost a lot of the pop and flow with everyone switching to Flash. The smooth vibration effect you see in a lot of old cartoons had just been completely wiped away because it's nearly impossible to replicate.
[editline]1st September 2016[/editline]
You'll never see for instance the very wavy form of style that Ed Edd not Eddy had because it works be to hard to replicate.
maybe if the animation wasn't so stiff
season 1 was better animated than season 2

Fun fact, that wasn't supposed to be a LT show, and was entirely its own thing. Then during test screenings people kept assuming it was a looney tunes show so WB went "well why not" and forced the creator to shoehorn in the looney toons characters. Then everyone bitched how it felt really weird and made no sense
personally i kinda liked it as it's own thing but hey. The lesson is suits ruin everything

This show was bloody good though. Tom jones killing the intro song didn't hurt either
