WARNING THIS VIDEO IS 7 SODDING HOURS LONG
Despite the length, it's a well thought out and spoken analysis akin to Joseph Anderson, and is worth the watch
Might want to update the title to be OMEGA Ruby, not just Ruby. I got excited and had my hopes dashed within seconds.

Ah shit, sorry
There's no way that this video couldn't have been trimmed a bit to be, at most, an hour. Like how Ahoy did for Ploybius, Doom, Quake and others.
I appreciate the thought and effort put into the video, but 7 hours is genuinely ridiculous. The Star Wars OT is shorter than that.
How is anyone supposed to watch this video? Not to mention, how can anyone talk about one subject for seven hours straight?

I could listen to Matthewmattosis for hours without getting bored.
I fucking wish I could be this enthusiastic and knowledgeable about a video game.
7 hours?
Are they analyzing every single grass patch and water tile in the entire game?
Honestly that sounds like an ordinary amount of time for a full-length, intricate commentated playthrough, but usually not all in one video.
idk about you guys but I get giddy when I find content this long that I can listen to.
I mainly listen to this kind of analytical game commentary stuff as podcast material though, I couldn't imagine sitting down for 7 hours and listening to this.
Jesus Christ, I could beat the actual game in 7 hours
dexnav was fucking awesome and I wish game freak would stop abandoning cool ideas after every generation

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if they abandoned the SOS mechanic in the next set of games.
I can watch 2-3 hour videos decently well but damn.
It just sounds like bad writing, really. If he needed that much time he should have cut it up into a few videos, each covering a major point. I have to imagine this format has some bad memory retention problems, with most viewers who reach the end likely not even remembering large swaths of the video.

Keep it in the background. The guy's pretty fun to listen to.
The guy definitely rambles around a lot (like a lot) but I find his delivery [sp]and accent[/sp] to be incredibly charming so I enjoyed having it running in the background while I've been working on things.
7 hours what the flipping fucking shit
I skipped ahead just to make sure it wasn't a gag and he's still talking what in the holy matrimony of hell and fuck?
I haven't watched it yet but the description says he uses the game as a case-study for the entire series, which would explain the length.
He's not talking about just one game the entire time, he'll probably be talking about literally every game.
However there's no way you can write a 7-hour script and have it be coherent or structured.
I watched it yesterday. It was pretty good, he didn't repeat himself too much and he ordered it as though it were a playthrough (each route and mechanic roughly sequentially). It's got a few weird jumps here and there but he explains late in the video that he had too much stuff to talk about on the land routes and almost nothing to say on the sea routes, which is a shame because there are 17 of each.

I was thinking maybe it was like a dissertation but I'm curious if reading one of those would take as long.
I want to listen/watch this so badly but 7 fucking hours
Maybe if I wear headphones while I sleep I'll get the whole video and develop a brogue
I mean, if I had a desk job where I had to sit at my desk for hours on end I would probably listen to it.
Guys, just set the speed of the video to 2, then you only need 3 1/2 hours to watch it.

Unless you're a book author, I suppose.
Does anyone know what the time stamp is for the berry rant? I liked the little skit he did and want to watch it again now that I'm not distracted but it's 7 HOURS of shit to skim.

Actually I think he's Australian.
I wish he had went more into detail about the Sea Mauville story because of how dark it can get, but I guess he didn't want to spoil it?
