The Unknown Cameraman interview on the news tonight! (list of stations and times) - General

I received an e-mail a few days ago by a news team that wanted to do a story on The Unknown Cameraman for visiting Centralia. They did a skype interview, cut it up with my video and their news team reporting on it. The piece has been released on their website and will air today on television. Congratulations! Just keep the "unknown" part of the Unknown Cameraman when doing the interview. [editline]15th May 2012[/editline] On a side note, shame Centralia is not really a ghost town as most of the original buildings were taken down. It's more like a few remnants of buildings with a bad history.

I understand that Centralia is pretty notable, but I think it's too well documented to be that interesting anymore. Just saying I wish they had chosen a different one of your videos instead.

What do you mean? lol, the interview was cut down and I had no control over what they used and didn't. Didn't realize I was obligated to regularly make mentions to... someone who prefers to remain unknown? Seems redundant... but here we go... That's true, I did not make the channel. My friend isn't able to get out to explore a whole lot, but he did make the UC logo for the intro which started the whole brand. The last time I saw him, we showed him the Witches Well because it was a spot my girl and I had just filmed a few weeks before. He went on the property to get a closer look on video because he lives out of state and the security cameras wouldn't recognize him if they tried to prosecute him later. He posted that video, and that got the ball rolling. That got us wanting to start doing videos for every cool place we knew about. But if it wasn't for my girl, I would probably be out filming something else still. She's been exploring longer than any of us. But if it wasn't for me, there wouldn't be decent videos posted weekly. There wouldn't be any videos. My friend who started the channel is busy a lot, so I had to bug him for a few days to finally get the password because he wasn't uploading any of the videos I was sending him. I have found the locations for, researched the history of, filmed, and edited just about all of the videos though the account is set up so we can both upload to it. It has always been a group effort, as you should be able to tell from the interview. Either way, WE known where we came from/where we still are lol. If we are luckily enough that something actually comes out of this like a tv show, it would be good for all of us and we'd all continue to be a part of what we're doing, except we'd get paid for it. This is something we'd be doing anyway, even if there was no youtube.

Next time I'm in PA, Centralia is actually on my visit list. Has been for a real long time. I can't wait to see what they are going to be discussing.

I loved to explore when I had the free time, I'd be more so often visiting the woods and what not. One time I came upon a camp, but it didn't have tents or anything. Was just a small little hut, that had jars of mice, and random animal parts. I didn't know what the hell it was, so I gtfo'd and never went back. Those were the days, so I do hope you keep going and don't get screwed over. I've watched your videos for a long time, and enjoyed most of them.
