Good. You still have time to prepare.
I didn't realize people took those dumb 4chan greentexts this seriously.
I know it's satire but is anyone else scared for the future.

Only if you're a straight white cis male.

Considering two really good friends of mine went full on SJW and pretty much abandoned all of their friends, a little yeah.

My sister's at a college out in California. She has a group of friends that are basically tumblr stereotypes.
She told me about how they planned to go to eat somewhere, and two of the guys said "The food here is way too expensive. We can't eat here." (mind you, this is a place where it's like 6 bucks for a burger, hardly expensive.)
Someone responded "You don't have to buy anything, we'll mostly be talking. Or you could just buy a snack, or bring your own."
"But then you're being exclusionary by eating when we can't eat." (these guys regularly bring their own snacks to meetings even when they aren't gathering at a food place, iirc)
"We would gladly pay for you guys."
"Well, not everyone is privileged enough to eat at places like this, you're being exclusionary to poor people."
Even my sister found them to be too tumblr-y.
I'm so sad I haven't met any tumblr-ites in real life. I wouldn't be able to contain my laughter.
My housemate was really annoyed about our University diversity policy. Her film society was something like 85% female, so she was awarded extra funding for hitting a "diversity quota", whereas a 50/50 m/f club was considered not diverse.
The most diverse group possible would be literally 100% lesbian, fat, native American women.
It's weird that I could make these kinds of people's opinion of me improve massively just by telling them that I'm not a straight white cis male, I'm a pansexual trans woman. Like, literally none of that (currently) manifests physically, and yet all of a sudden I'd be some poor oppressed person rather than a horrible privileged oppressor.
this stuff was funny for a while but come on. be a little bit more creative when you're mocking people because anyone can just slam out a "i identify as a lizard..... my pronouns are garbage/fuck/and shit... haha.. czech your priv!!" joke in half a second.

i don't have a PHD in sociology or whatever, but my theory as to why this exaggeration humor got popular is because anyone, regardless of how good they are at coming up with jokes, can just slam one out in a matter of seconds. it's the same reason why image macros got popular; they're EASY. that's why image macros are so looked down upon on here, because they're trash. facepunch just hasn't collectively grown to hate gender jokes yet, but it'll happen soon.
i've never really been one to be offended by these jokes because they're just so prevalent in 2014/2015 internet culture. go on any gender/tumblr related post on reddit, youtube, imgur, here, and chances are you'll see a dozen super original and super funny "wow i am so offended... i am a transpoly anthropomorphic anime-kin and this triggers me" "jokes."
it's a stagnant area of humor now; the tumblr-gender jokes that are funny are just completely buried by minimal effort garbage.

Not to mention there's probably a miniscule amount of people who actually believe this and most people just think there are because they can't tell sarcasm on the internet.

Just because you never find anything about sjw nonsense funny doesn't mean others don't.

Fuck, now I'm just as bad as all the other transphobic cis white male scum.

it's a good thing i like dick
socjus is for real a scary cult. listen and believe.
it'll die though, as they all do, and the good news is that these 'bad cop' movements are usually proceded by 'good cop' movmeents that do everything right which was done wrong by their predecessor.
see: MLK coming after malcolm X
My University/College campus recently rolled out gender neutral washrooms that were pretty open to everyone which I find is nice. It's also wheelchair accessible and single occupant.

It's not scary at all, it's largely non existant, people have just convinced themselves these people exist everywhere.

It may be because it's late and I'm mentally running on E here, but a gender-neutral single-occupant washroom sounds like just an outhouse with a sink.

This is 100% ok tho?
In my university we have both gendered washrooms and one ungendered washroom. The gendered ones are nasty ass and smelly while the gender neutral are nice and clean and there's no pee on the floor because people try not to behave like cavemen peeing in the woods when the opposite gender is involved.
"Social justice", when just treating other people normally just isn't enough
Seriously though, do these types of people not realise how patronising they are

maybe in denmark but they have completely infused themselves into american academia
it's a good place to prey on people, at that age most people are just starting to develop their sort of social and ideological independence and, wishing desparately to exercise it all at once, they'll be vulnerable to some easy set of rules they can follow to be different, quirky, moral, and most importantly, better than everyone else

Well I can't say I know anything about that as I don't live in the US.

as far as i can tell they don't really make those jokes in this video
in fact, the only mention of gender is he, she, and "straight white male", so i am inclined to believe you didn't actually watch the video

My campus is absolutely full of these people. Their ilk may be largely confined to college campuses right now, but when they leave school, they're not going to disappear or start thinking differently.
