That attention to detail. Most games wouldn't put the constellations up in the sky like they did here.
weird that they went to FPS ARPG instead of just fps again. still im a sucker for FPS ARPGs that is not borderlands.

I don't see how expanding on the original formula is a bad thing. Not to mention the linearity of the first game did grow tiresome eventually even with the good combat and writing.

Jesus Christ.
I'm really not sure if making Shadow Warrior into borderlands with randomly generated stages was the way to go.
I'm kinda wary of this one.
Edit:
Jesus fucking christ there's a chainsaw. That's pretty cool though.
Also I hope we can still fling shurikens with the melee equipped, I liked doing that
Honestly the previous videos looked fine, but now with this HUD, the conversations about relatively-mundane-in-comparison stuff in the background and damage sponge enemies, this game doesn't really look all that great at all anymore.
Then again that might just be the player not being very good.

Watching E3 footage it just seems like there's more greater demons instead of the fodder you mostly encountered in the first game. Also in E3 footage the guy seemed to be cutting them down quite well especially when the chainsaw came into it.
The guy playing definitely sucks ass, better to watch the one where the dev played it with commentary.
The only thing I worry about is that it looks like hitting demons appears to be a flat experience. Like with guns especially, in particular, of all the gameplay I've seen, it doesn't look like there is locational damage such as a weakpoint, so just generally shooting your target seems kinda flat if you don't have a weakpoint to aim at, such as the head. It it's true, then to me it just feels like enemies are generic blobs than dynamic targets.
It's also possible all the players are just mediocre, and just failed to aim at it to help confirm my suspicions.

First game had weak points and severance points on enemies this is the same it's just automatic weapons and fast attacks mostly gib them instead of doing precision damage. For example destroying either arm on a big demon would remove certain abilities from them and change how they attack you.
Ranged attack to soften them up + chainsaw on a weakpoint seems to be an instant kill for most enemies unless they're a sizeable demon.
This game is fucking pretty. I was honestly pretty surprised by the art direction and design in the first game, but this just blows that out of the water. The fucking floating chains though, god damn.

Even when hitting the weak points on big demons, it took forever and got boring fast.
True, the bigger demons are a little spongier, but I think that the player in that video might've forgotten to exploit elemental weaknesses too. Like I think one of the bigger enemies had "Resists Electric, Weak to Acid" or something, and the guy was attacking it with a weapon that could deal electric damage.
Noticed that the Katana makes a line cut in the water instead of just a normal splash like other games would :weeb:
