I'm loving the new voices.
I know the Grineer use a different alphabet, but it's interesting to hear they speak another language.
Go Go Powerrangers! Them UE effects. Will we get this update for PC too?

Are you sure thats their own engine? Im seeing what looks pretty clearly like apex particles.

We don't get to say this often guys, but the combat is just as fun as it looks in the trailer, for those who have not played.

Hot damn. War Frame is pretty fun, if it truly does use the same free to play model as it does on PC I could see it gaining quite a following on the PS4. This is very cool
Are you sure thats their own engine? Im seeing what looks pretty clearly like apex particles.
APEX particles aren't exclusive to the Unreal Engine; they come with PhysX, which was what Digital Extreme's engine uses.
Are you sure thats their own engine?
First few seconds of the trailer have been cut down for the Sony channel. Full version declares the game is on Evolution Engine 2.
Hand animated :D
We don't get to say this often guys, but the combat is just as fun as it looks in the trailer, for those who have not played.
It is for a couple of hours until you realise that they're's not enough things to do and ends up being a boring loop of the same enemies and rooms. They do however actively update the game and i'm convinced it's going to be quite heavy in content to not bore the average player after 10 hours max. Oh and the announcer (?) voice is annoying as shit.
i will gut you for speaking about the lotus in such a manner
what is warframe, i've never heard of it before. was pc game only or what?
Isn't Warframe what Dark Sector was originally supposed to be? Maybe I'm getting my info wrong.
Warframe is on Steam, for free. The game is both a challenge while also being an absolute blast to play. My only gripe with the game being the even more awesome cool shit requires A LOT of grinding. But what I find the most surprising is how fluid and thought out its entire movement system is. It's seriously worth looking at.
what is warframe, i've never heard of it before. was pc game only or what?
yeah it was PC exclusive until now. it's sort of a free-to-play mashup of Max Payne, Mirror's Edge and Mass Effect, so you're doing flips and wallruns and stuff like that whilst also using abilities and throwing down buffs and all that. Warframes are basically like classes, so you've got your sneaky dude, your tank, your DPS etc. it's sort of grindy at times and every big update has a decent chance of fucking up the drops of various resources or weapons, but once you get into the groove of it the gameplay is pretty fun and the devs are actively expanding it at a fairly good pace. it's also got a problem with getting kind of repetitive after a while, but as i say the devs are expanding enough that that probably won't be a problem by the time it comes out on PS4. [editline]6th June 2013[/editline]
Isn't Warframe what Dark Sector was originally supposed to be? Maybe I'm getting my info wrong.
yeah, it was originally going to be a singleplayer stealth-action game like Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell, but no publisher was willing to take a risk on it so the developers had to trim it down into the Dark Sector that we know today. a bunch of stuff still remains from it - the main character of the retail game was called Hayden Tenno, the glaive from it is now a weapon in Warframe, and the zombies from the retail version of Dark Sector (or at least the original idea of them) are a fightable faction now. it's actually pretty interesting, they had a video lined up for the original version and everything:
so have they said whether or not they're going to add this to the pc version??

Wow. Never knew how many assets were taken and remade from the originial concept. That looks like a early stage Warframe, even the Corpus suits are in there!
Digital Extremes deserves more money for this, it's a great game I have been following since Update 3 ish. So seeing them getting onto the PS4 is neat, even though I have personally have no interest in the consoles. Let's just hope the console users don't whine and get the game dumbed down any, I highly doubt it, Third Person Shooters work well on consoles without any changes. As long as they keep the PC version first in mind for support and keep PC updates rolling with no console exclusive shit this seems good for everyone.
Hnngggg, the concept design. So good.
