I played the second game and absolutely despised all the characters except for Carmine. Then he died and I never touched my Xbox again.

You people bitch and moan about a game being brown, or dark and having shitty graphics, and you completely ignore gameplay, only because its a console exclusive. I can guarantee if it were Pc exclusive you would all be praising it.
Thing I've enjoyed about the GoW games is that they've done what sequels SHOULD DO which is be better than the first.
From what I've seen of GoW3 its actually looking like the best one yet one that I might play for a loooong time. Horde 2.0 mode being the main draw of it for me.

I do love me some Gears of War, I've already got it pre ordered. Its about the only console exclusive series I enjoy, other than Halo.
