This is the best part of EVERYTHING being recorded these days, we rarely miss any epic failures anymore

Retard.

Out of all the things he could have forgotten that day I think he picked the worst one possible!
The truck that follows him up to the sign is funny. Like why not stop if him hitting the sign is obvious? :v:

Trying to warn him in some way maybe? Guy was honking so that's what I assume.

It was already too late when the video started.

Doubt it. Seems more likely that he was talking on his phone or texting, putting him on equal levels of stupidity with the guy who hit the sign.
you had one job and fucked it up truck driver.
ONE JOB
The truck driver is supposed to interpret some guy laying on the horn as an attempt to inform him that his truck bed is in a raised position? If you have time to whip your phone out while driving to record an accident, you've made no effort to stop it from happening. He could've driven in front and put on his hazards and waved the truck over, but no that requires more thought than reaching into your pocket to grab your phone and start the camera app and set it to record video, right?

Like I said, it was too late when the recording started.

the video is 11 seconds long. i don't know what super lambo you're driving that could have driven in front of him and came to a full stop (not to mention have an entire semi truck come to a full stop) in the 6 seconds between the start of the video and the truck hitting the sign. it was over before the recording started

Recording while driving is illegal, so the driver is a moron breaking traffic laws while watching an accident happen in literally slow motion. Pretty sure he had plenty of time pre whipping his phone out and launching his video app to record to stop it but saw more value in recording than actually helping. The driver only wanted youtube views, they had no intention of stopping the accident.

Your moms minivan can go from 65-75 pretty fast if you put your foot to the floor. Taking the 11 seconds of recording into consideration, plus however many possible seconds to minutes prior to the accident the driver had been following the truck, I have no doubts more effort could've been taken by the video taker to prevent this accident from happening. Both the truck driver and video taker were idiots, one broke the law and the other broke a giant sign. It really doesn't get more plain and simple than that.
to be honest i thought that was pretty damn cool
even though he probably got fired and a lot of people got held up for hours
