[hd]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zssIFN2mso[/hd] Another one of VICE's interesting mini-docs.
Was it really appropriate of them to continue filming that woman when she asked them to stop and then record her saying the DPR are scum? They've pretty much cut her life expectancy doing that. [editline]16th June 2015[/editline] Other than that it was pretty high quality for a Vice film.
The only stuff I watch from Vice usually has Simon Ostrovsky in it, he's good.
Really good documentary by Vice once again. I wish all skeptical people about Russian soldiers going into Ukraine would watch this.
Wouldn't work. These people aren't swayed by evidence. They will always find a way around it. e.g. - Vice is western propaganda, and this was set up as fake evidence - There's "no real" evidence that those photos were taken in Ukraine - There's "no real" evidence that those photos were made by that military guy - There's "no real" evidence that the guy actually serves in the Russian military Of course these arguments sound ridiculous to us, but that's how these people think. Even if you do convince them of something, they'll immediately reassure themselves with "The EU/USA do this too".
Simon Ostrovsky would have to be one of my favorite journalists. Very unbiased in my opinion, and always seem to go above and beyond to get the story. His coverage on the Ukraine war, and Russia has been superb.
I am not a huge fan of VICE, but anything with Ostrovsky is fantastic, his style of journalism is great.
Watching this was a lot more interesting than usual "RUS ARMY BEST ARMY" bs on russian TV. [editline]16th June 2015[/editline] And of course now YT comments are filled with butthurt Russians calling anyone dumb russophobic trolls.
This is pretty damning evidence. I would love to see Putin get confronted with this.
Video was alright untill he suddenly went "This conflict is going on for artificial reason solely fueled by Russia, preventing good Ukraine integrading in Western world" Fuck you Simon, if you wanna be unbias investigator how about atleast once you pull your ass and give world numbers of civilians Ukranian army has wrecked. This is what pisses me off the most, and this is the real reason why nobody in my coutnry gives a damn about Russian presence in Ukraine, not because "Ugh, ya lie it all, Bad West", but because there is double standard or measuring responsibility in this conflict on such scale you could wrap a moon in it. And i don't see "progressive wester culture" influencing Kiev as much as they demand Russia to influence rebels in near future. Go ahead with your lulz and zingers now.

Go ahead with your lulz and zingers now.
Who is arming the separatists with advanced weaponry? How dose a force that should, at the most have the same same size as The Ukrainian army, had such a numerical advantage that the Ukrainian Army was outnumbered two to one. Name one reason why the successful Ukrainian offensive suddenly went to shit, and the siege of Luhansk suddenly dissolved, and the Ukrainian army magically routed? Besides the hundreds of photos of Russian soldiers covering their patches that they should be proud wearing them. It's a shadow invasion perpetuated by the Putin 'administration', and either way the Ukrainian people suffer from his actions.
Video was alright untill he suddenly went "This conflict is going on for artificial reason solely fueled by Russia, preventing good Ukraine integrading in Western world"
But it is... The Ukrainian army would of beaten back the rebels have they not have Russian support/troops on their side ending the civil war. But Russia doesn't want the war to end because it's a global leverage tool and can be used in many other political bargaining. Pretty much securing Ukraine will stay in the sphere of influence of Russia.
Fuck you Simon, if you wanna be unbias investigator how about atleast once you pull your ass and give world numbers of civilians Ukranian army has wrecked.
No one is claiming that the Ukranian army is full of saints or that their government is in any way objectively "good". This video is simply showing that Russia is practically invading Ukraine while repeatedly lying to the world about it. I don't understand how you can possibly think that is justified. I get that Putin sees Ukraine as another conflict between Russia and the West, but there's a big difference between the West's political actions in Ukraine (financial/diplomatic support) and Russia's military actions (deliberately escalating and prolonging a civil war that should have ended months ago).
Karimatrix, you do realise that your nation is essentially violating the sovereignty of Ukraine right?
Putin makes me sick.
Putin makes me sick.
you must be mistaken.

It's not your immediate opinion that gets the boxes, it's the way you get to it, and that it's always the same. But hey, at least you've passed the "Even if you do convince them of something" part. You haven't lived up to my worst predictions, which claim outright denial.
Holy shit how bad and widespread is propaganda in Russia
Turned on the tv yesterday, the main channel, apparently the Ukrainian army had executed a 77 year old grandmother for supporting the separatists or something. Make of that what you will, but consider the fact that they ran the story in a morning news block, when everybody would see it. (I'm not from Kazakhstan, if the flagdog says so then it's lying)
both ukrainian and russian state media is pretty bullshit tbh

Don't you dare argue about which side is causing suffering when your nation has been proven to be actively prolonging it by invading.
both ukrainian and russian state media is pretty bullshit tbh
Good thing the most popular news channels in Ukraine are privately owned right? They're not very comparable, Russia has a lot more state owned news than Ukraine.
