I've always felt that it was humor directed at people that know a bit about video editing. Like a parody of video edition in its entirety where you embrace what would otherwise be considered "bad editing".
I can enjoy a YTP once in a while but the moment they start doing earrape they lose me. Are there people who still think loud = funny?

YTP are funny when it's not just earrape but when the creator actually puts effort into remixing the words IMO
The rest CAN be funny but the most fun thing is defo the word mixing.
i think what makes a ytp good is first off all editing, you gotta know where to put the subtle things, but more importantly is that you have to create a story with your ytp (whether it be the original story but modified or a completely new story stitched together from the original source).
and thats why hank of the hill is one of my favourite ytps

I gotta say I just found this on my recommended videosand was surprised because I actually found it kind of clever and entertaining.
I pretty much find most YTPs to be unbearable so it took me off guard to finally see one that didnt sound like all the characters just saying naughty words.
