This actually makes me want to play ARK.
Their ARK stuff made me instantly sub, but holy shit this game looks awful.

Exactly what I think about it too, but apparently people are having fun playing it.
It looks like an odd mixture of terrible and fantastic to me. Good enough to want to buy the game but bad enough to not want to spend the money.

played this again yesterday after a week or so off, its nice to see they fixed alot of issues in a recent patch, there's so much fun to be had in this game it just takes time to get there.
All their videos have been hilarious. I'll probably never get this game, but damn they make it look fun.

I honestly don't get what's so entertaining about ARK. It looks like every other fucking survival game out there, just with Dinosaurs, and they weren't even the first one to do that. The Stomping Land was.
In all honesty, I think this is going to go the way The Stomping Land did, where it's hot for a couple of weeks before all the youtube celebrities stop playing it and interest seems to just peter out.

The Stomping Land fizzled out because the developers took the money and ran.
ARK's devs are constantly updating and working with the community.

This game is actually getting constant updates however.
In fact the devs have already put out (I think double+) the amount of updates as Day Z SA has to this date. The game has been out for under 2 months as well. They've already add a ton of content, and the optimization is slowly getting better.
Graphics aside, the game is quite enjoyable. Gives me browser version of rust vibes in how fun it could be with friends.

It's a pretty entertaining game in a group with friends, it takes a while to actually progress and you can get attached to shit. Only major issue with it is the fucking abysmal performance, imo.

People are having fun playing it if they are lucky 0,00000001% of the time.
Just like any of the current survival games.
Relying on a moment that might never come to you to make your money worth.
+ All the bad things like having stuff you worked a long time for to be capable of being quickly destroyed.
I know a upcoming game that sort of solves the quickly destroyed part but its not worth spreading the word about it just yet.
