hey breadmakers are alright
I'm looking at the bread maker machine in my home right now.

What about a $500 bread maker that takes proprietary dough capsules though :v:
I wonder if they'll use dough DRM.
Heard about it, didn't think it would be this terrible but I'm not surprised it is.
That dude with the translator thing is such a creep.

I had to skip it, it was too much
He says how today nobody wants to make their own bread, but where I live the quality of bread is so ridiculously bad. Every market sells bread, there are bakeries every 100 meters in town and still there seems to be no real competition between them, they all sell low quality products; often they are full of air, look big, but have no weight, dries up quickly, sometimes I'm not sure if they are also also selling yesterdays bread, etc...
Btw, it is ridiculous how bad that design is, my generic PC case from 15 years ago looked better, and then they make it look "special" by mentioning pyramids and Mexican heritage... it's a ugly grey plastic box, I would not put that in my kitchen. The original looked much better and classy.

Which you could just shorten back down to DRM anyway. Dough Rights Management.
If it can't activate my almonds then it ain't worth it.
And god damn, fuck that bitch's forced accent.

Just put the dough in the damn oven...

but my breadmaker automatically mixes the dough and bakes it into a slice-friendly rectangular loaf shape. I just pour the shit in and press the button, no muss, no fuss.
I don't get the point of "making" your own tortillas if they're just pre-made capsules. If what you want is ~all natural~ tortillas you can find that already.

I was wondering that too.
It really seems like they are going for gullible people if they chuck a few buzzwords (preservatives, GMO, natural, etc.) and then expect us to believe that a pre-made capsule that creates 'instant' tortillas wouldn't have preservatives in order to keep the ingredients from decaying.

My parents use theirs all the time. I mean yeah, you can just use an oven, but its pretty much set it and forget it with the machine, and the results are just as good. Definitely better than average store bought bread.
I think the key difference between a bread maker and this thing, is that breadmakers are non-proprietary. My parents bought their Black and Decker one in the 90's (so period correct :v:) but its still useful now 20 years later even though I have no idea if Black and Decker even makes them anymore.
If Flatev goes under and nobody makes those capsules, I guess you can get bent, because I guarantee no 3rd party will.
I dunno his problem with breadmakers, my dad makes amazing sourdough and banana bread with his and the loaves are a really good size. We bought it at a yard sale like 5 years ago and he found the manual online. It uses standard ingredients and tastes way better than store-bought bread. It's kind of a stupid comparison to some shitty tortilla maker that costs you a dollar per tortilla and uses 1300 watts for 90 seconds in the process.
In fact, his entire argument fell flat the last 4 minutes of the video, and then he brought back up the translation device which has nothing to do with the flatev or breadmakers to begin with. Mediocre content imo.

Yeah. The translator bit at the beginning was funny, but I have no idea why he felt compelled to add it to this one. There was enough content with the translator that it could have been its own video. And shortened the flatev one by 4-6 minutes.
Which is what you want with Youtube anyway. Shorter, more concise videos tend to get more views.
