I've always thought the animated Star Wars stuff was even more ridiculous than the last three movies.
That pilot's aim is worse than any Stormtrooper seen in the franchise. His target was less than 30 feet in front of him and standing still, how do you screw that up?
Just me or is there absolutely no sense of speed to any of the animation at all?

Lets not forget that Ewoks did the SAME thing, plus an energy slingshot doesn't exactly seem too far off from what a kid could have in Star Wars. Granted he's apparently suppose to be getting a blaster/lightsaber combo.

Can we just get an animated Star Wars series that's grim and has a more accurate representation of the fighting between the Rebels and Empire? They aren't called "The Empire" because of poor aim and dimwitted, arrogant soldiers...

I usually say this any thread regarding Rebels. They aren't reusing any assets from TCW so of course things aren't going to look as spiffy as they did before, literally everything they have have IIRC is new. Assuming this too as well is that they're currently on a smaller budget than what they had for TCW. We all know post season 2 the quality of TCW surged ahead and ended up looking damn impressive. Why is this important? Hypothetically we can assume that if the show has good characters,story,political mess,Stormtrooper episodes, and all the things that made the TCW good the first 2 seasons we can easily see season 3 giving us better quality. While I hate the current look of it there is room to improve, even after watching season 1 of TCW I thought it was stupid but there started being actual interesting episodes and I got past it.

3d modeling and rendering is an industry where massive strides are being made every couple of months. To produce something even a couple of years after something else, and have it look worse, means you are doing something wrong.
Maybe it will improve. Regardless, it looks really clunky for the moment.
