http://vimeo.com/43800150 Just got posted on valve/portal's facebook wall, fucking well done editing
Really want to see a behind the scenes.
I'm glad they managed to take something everyone and their brother has done, and make it interesting again.
-snip-
That must've been a mindfuck to film.
The acting was pretty bad, well, the first guy was alright. But the special effects were really well done.
The acting kinda killed it for me.
lmao the actors are fucking boulders
Nobody can get the look of portals quite right, can they? Pretty damn cool, wondered how the fuck they'd get the guy out of the loop, knew whichever way they chose would be painful.
They should've drove down to the sea, opened a portal down there so he would've landed in something more realistic to break his fall. If this were real he would've flown a lot farther up than he did.

Also, hey amcfaggot, why do you think this is so dumb?
I think the point was to make it look like you were in a game, thus the weird acting with the pauses and all.
I think the acting was mostly weird because everything had to be timed perfectly to sync up various pieces of footage. Getting a natural feel to that is incredibly difficult, and from the looks of it, it could have been a whole lot worse. I thought the video was amazingly well done. Not perfect, but they certainly challenged themselves, and I can always appreciate that.
They oculd stop terminal velocity by opening two portals next to each other and letting him slowly sink down.

Fun-fact the portal gun is actually a 3d-model. They used a painted coffee can with tracking markers :v:

I thought it was a NECA gun, but now that I look closely, it's shinier, the light is higher quality, and it animates. I did think it was weird that he was wielding it with one hand so easily. I can't hold mine with one hand that easily.
