I loved Stronghold 1 and Stronghold Crusader as a child, but I completely forgot about Stronghold 2 and 3, mainly because they blowed complete and utter ass.
I hate to be the one to say it, but it looks like a total reskin of Stronghold 3. I hope they add something new to this franchise.

Yeah I adored stronghold one but I bought stronghold 2 from a friend (I now know why he was selling it) and it was just not nearly as god, and to be honest this looks quite similar.
All games after Stronghold Crusader and the original Stronghold suck for one simple reason and it's because they lack the atmosphere from the originals
I hope this game turns out at least fine though... definitely will play it with friends at least a few matches
I hope they bring back the same voice actor for the Rat from SH 1. The VA in that game was probably my favourite part of it.
Wait, they're just modernizing SC2 or what? I had no idea about this. I love the Stronghold series, 3 was an utter let down. I sunk so many hours into Stronghold Crusader Extreme.

This is the first game Firefly is working on ever since the original Crusader (I think?) where they are also self-publishing. Crusader 2 was crowdfunded and they've been taking their time with it. Crusader 2's going to have full-fledged skirmish mode with unique AI opponents that all play differently. Unlike Stronghold 3, which was a piece of shit that didn't even have skirmish mode.
Fuck yes! Stronghold 3 was awful. So looking forward to this, and it's not too far away, thankfully.

One of the things I remember fondly about the original Crusader was the fantastic soundtrack.
