Due to my incredibly bad stealth skills I depend on games like Deus Ex having quicksave points. I do prefer it when you can come back to exactly where you were. Great episode as always.
I personally like both stationary save points and having the ability to save anywhere. With stationary save points I feel as though that it adds risk to not being careful enough during gameplay, when I can save anywhere then I don't have to worry about playing for hours on end without finding a save station. Meanwhile with auto-saving things can be pretty bad, the game would probably auto-save when you're low on health, ammo or whatever supplies that matter to the player or even when you're about to die. And I must say that I enjoyed this episode.
I didn't like halo wars all that much but I loved the special edition box. It was metal and really pretty.
Glad you all enjoyed the episode, everyone! Hopefully it's improving in quality with each passing week!
I'm definitely for the ability to save anytime, anywhere and checkpoints. The first to let me decide when I want to save so I can replay some fun parts of the game (boss battles, important story scenes,...). But I also want that out-of-your-control checkpoint system. I sometimes forget to save, especially in RPG games and checkpoints save me a lot of time if the game decides to crash. When it comes to boxart I really can't name one that I'd call my favourite. What I noticed is the Collector's editions often have much better and fitting art than the regular box. What I really hate to see is just the main character looking directly in the camera with exploding/cool background behind him. I remember a really bad level in Mafia. The race. They put a fucking race in the game and the cars in that game can't withstand that much damage. Another jewel in gaming douchebaggery is level in Max Payne 2 where you have to protect Vinnie. You mentioned Call of Duty 4's No Fighting In The War Room but that one is nothing compared to the Mile High Club on Veteran. I've never finished that one.

It's one of the reasons why I'm not a huge fan of Demon's/Dark Souls - I like a challenge, but not an endless onslaught.
You know what? I should go out and buy a fez just because KitAlexHarrison made me want to. grr
Holy shit that was a lot of 'then' at the end.
