It would have been better if he did something really stupid like look down the barrel AND press the trigger to see if something happens in it.
He's a real dumbass for doing this and all but how in the hell did it go off? It's like the textbook example of why you should never point a gun anywhere unsafe, ever, because it could go off just like that. But how in the hell did it fire? I understand that it was cocked, did the trigger assembly just fail and randomly drop the hammer? Christ, he's a dumb bastard for doing this, but also pretty unlucky for something to actually happen
