it's cute but sorta sad at the same time. the dogs are obviously feeling some serious anxiety in these situations. anxiety and fearfulness are pretty common among dogs. my dog is anxious of one of my friends. one time i tried to "introduce" them, and my dog ran upstairs whimpering and basically hid away from everyone else the rest of the night.
seeing pets with anxiety or fearfulness is sad :(
Some of those cats were being mean to the dogs.
:(
Those cats are complete dickwads. The owners should not have been laughing when they could see that their dog was clearly afraid of the cat. The cats probably attacked the dogs at some point and that's why they were afraid to go near them.
They couldn't answer the riddles.
Need to discipline the cats so that they aren't like this.
It isn't comedy, it's dogs being so anxious around cats because the cats can claw the dogs freely but the dog knows if it turns on the cat then it'll be punished by it's owner.
I was wondering what the fuck you guys were talking about but now I understand. Why is this comedy, these dogs are obviously fucking scared of getting attacked by cats every time they have to walk past them.
Those cats are out of line and the owners need to train them to stop attacking the dogs
But dogs do this to cats too.
However, some of the cats did nothing at all.
Ah, I didn't reach the part where the dogs were actually going down.
What's wrong with these cats? Why are these cats casually attacking the dogs? Like what even why
So many unfounded accusations in this thread
I want to assume you guys have owned cats.. They're not exactly the easiest things to train.
Besides, it's not like they're going to be able to actually harm most of those dogs, at least not the large ones.
In fact they're probably making the cats anxious by acting so freaked out around them, what they need to do is get the animals used to each other.

its pretty dang clear that some of these dogs are scared of the cats (the dog at 2.21 is absolutely terrified for example) - whether the threat is real or perceived doesn't matter in this case, the owner should work to make them sociable towards each other or keep them apart

related dog chilling out w/ cat
It's just dogs being dogs, they get scared at everything and cats get anxious when someone keeps moving around them and staring at them.
It's just a phase in a dog-cat relationship, they do this all the time.

Although they're playing, notice how they go for the neck. Scary if it was a real fight.
you guys realize cat's claws are not out that much, right?
like the most those dogs got as the passed was a playful little bat with their paws, the rest of the time they were just sitting there
like why are people flipping their shit and saying the cats should be trained etc
[editline] . [/editline]
might look biased because of my name but I have a dog and a cat
Cats are such big pieces of shit goddamn
lmao at some of you acting like it's sad and making it sound like it's almost animal abuse or something

That's what many games are like. Look at human sports.

I don't know about you, but when I play football, I don't try and kick the guy in the neck.
but yeah my dog does this with slidey wooden floors. It's annoying as shit because my whole living room is like that so when he stands on the carpet he can never muster up the courage to walk off it.

Yet in American football you tackle, in fight sports you hit, in other sports you outrun or outsmart. It's always a test of abilities once used for survival that are now used without the serious consequences, animals playing are no different.
Some survival instinct must drive these cats into this kind of behavior.. Otherwise no.. there would be no point.. in science.

pretty much this, if the cat actually wanted to attack the dog it would have jumped on it and bit it etc. This looked more like a defense "get away from me" thing
My dogs do this as well, although the cats have swiped at them with their paws on some occasions, that was more to do with my dogs getting overly friendly, playful with the cat and the cat doesn't want to.
Because of that, they are scared passing them on narrow hallways or on the stairs, but when they do, the cat never swipes at them. And when the dogs are outside, they will run up to the cat in a friendly way, but if the cat runs, they chase it up onto the fence.
this thread seriously.
some of you are as bad as youtube commenters on animal videos.
WOW HERE COMES THE FUCKING CAT DEFENSE FORCE

Train a cat? Good luck with that. The only way to do it is to spray them with water, but that requires frequently catching them in the act and having a spray bottle handy.
