Rangers seem like they have a much easier job than the USMC. Fighting in the mountains from a fix position instead of just running in the desert trying to push away hostiles.
I hate the comments in the video how they're all calling the guy at 7:30 a genius or something. The Taliban are not a tangible enemy, they can disappear and reappear from the civilian population at will, it's not possible to beat them with overwhelming firepower, because they can just disappear and come back elsewhere. If we just start shooting everybody with a pair of binoculars then all we do is alienate ourselves even more and create more fighters. The only real way to win would be to somehow make the population believe that the resistance fighters are their enemy, but that has such a slim chance of happening. It's just like Vietnam all over again. :colbert:
