Man, after reading that they will make you lose your max health if you die, i am really split on getting this game or not. I mean, i dont doubt it's gonna be good, but i dont know how much rage i can take before i get a stroke

I don't that will restore your max health in Dark Souls 2. You'll probably have to become human again.

When you're in spirit form, you only have 50% max HP.

According to ENB, there is no downside to becoming human, since you'll always be able to get invaded.

Yeah just saw that vid (ENB is such a bro). As long as the invaders aren't cheaters, laggers (lagstabbing) and there isn't a constant stream of invaders, I'd be cool with that. Also, bonus points if the invader and I show good manners before we try to kill each other.
Would it be a good idea to get this game without playing any of the previous?
I wonder if there will be a way for invaders to know just how low your health is compared to your max HP, other than the fact that you will probably look like a hollow.

No.
You should at least play Dark Souls. Playing Demon's Souls doesn't hurt (too much), but I highly recommend playing Dark Souls before Dark Souls 2.
