• The real FPSRussia for those who had any doubt

It has come to my attention that not very many casual watchers of FPSRussia have seen this video and whether or not you were a big fan I think it is fun to see the real guy behind the character. Most people know he is fake but now there is no question and besides all the needlessly stupid things he does he actually seems like a decent guy. Never was a huge fan of his lack of safety but it is what it is.
"we been doin this youtube thing professionally for several years now" Didn't one of his camera guys almost get killed by a chunk of shrapnel from an HE round?
"we been doin this youtube thing professionally for several years now" Didn't one of his camera guys almost get killed by a chunk of shrapnel from an HE round?
when a musician trips over on stage they're still a musician, a mistake doesn't make them less professional :v:
Oh wow, I had no idea he was actually [sp]american[/sp] That actually shocked me
Oh wow, I had no idea he was actually [sp]american[/sp] That actually shocked me
Like a lot of people who watched him we found evidence long ago besides the horrible accent that he wasn't russian. There are videos that are years old of a podcast and even some gameplay commentary under the alias FPSKyle that has him talking with his normal voice and the russian voice. This is just the definitive proof that yes he is not really russian.
Oh wow, I had no idea he was actually [sp]american[/sp] That actually shocked me
I thought the fact that he's American was supposed to be obvious. He doesn't sound anything like a Russian.
When he turned off the russian accent my jaw literally dropped. It just seemed real weird.
Whatever happen to the guy who supplied him being found dead? Was there any conclusion?
that switch was great
He sounds really genuine and nice.
I can't believe there's people in the comments that still think the quadrotor video wasn't made with CGI.
I can't believe there's people in the comments that still think the quadrotor video wasn't made with CGI.
Can't blame them. It's way better in quality than anything you could see in a video on youtube that isn't from a movie or something, plus many people just want to believe. One reinforces the other, creating a beautiful case of denial.
It's really cool to hear him speaking in his real accent. Lots of stuffs are revealing on youtube recently, he reminds me of the FHRITP guy
It's an odd feeling listening to a man who gets to shoot NFA stuff for a living tell you "yeah man a burglar will run screaming soon as he hears you rack it knowwhatimsayin".
when a musician trips over on stage they're still a musician, a mistake doesn't make them less professional :v:
honestly it's unfair to call it a mistake, he just flat out ignores safety precautions
"we been doin this youtube thing professionally for several years now" Didn't one of his camera guys almost get killed by a chunk of shrapnel from an HE round?

when a musician trips over on stage they're still a musician, a mistake doesn't make them less professional :v:
The labels amateur and professional are not indications of quality by themselves. It only says something about if they are doing it to make money by it, and therefor can be assumed to have invested more, because they depend on their livelyhood from it. The point is, when FPSRussia says "We have been doing this professionaly for x years now". He's not saying anything about quality, he says "We have been doing this for our income" You can be a professional and suck balls, and be an amateur who is awesome.
yeah i thought this neckbearded dude with a shitty accent on youtube was a spetsnaz operator... did anyone really believe that haha
when a musician trips over on stage they're still a musician, a mistake doesn't make them less professional :v:
I don't think a musician tripping over a cable or something on stage is comparable to almost seriously hurting a crew member with a chunk of metal flying towards them at an enormous velocity...
I don't think a musician tripping over a cable or something on stage is comparable to almost seriously hurting a crew member with a chunk of metal flying towards them at an enormous velocity...
This exactly. Making mistakes that endanger peoples' lives DOES make you less professional.
yeah i thought this neckbearded dude with a shitty accent on youtube was a spetsnaz operator... did anyone really believe that haha
Have you ever seen comments section on youtube? Something tells me you haven't, or you'd be more open-minded about how actually dumb a lot of people can be.
Have you ever seen comments section on youtube? Something tells me you haven't, or you'd be more open-minded about how actually dumb a lot of people can be.
poes law
poes law
Yeah, but for the poe's law to work someone has to be dumb for someone to imitate them. There're a lot of ignorant people out there, I could easily believe they just went out and assumed he's actually Russian and then went on to continue with every stereotype imaginable. Plus I'm pretty sure he's joking. Non the less, people like to create myths around people they like.
Wow, he genuinely seems like a great guy.
Have you ever seen comments section on youtube? Something tells me you haven't, or you'd be more open-minded about how actually dumb a lot of people can be.
I bet there is someone posting right now, "Woah, FPSRussia can really pull off a great Georgian accent!!! Silly russkie!"
He's such an amazing Russian, he can talk like an American.
Hehehe, loved when he switched the accent off like a light bulb. I like that when asked about home defense, he gave a really basic, logical answer and wasn't all gung-ho about wanting an excuse to shoot somebody. A lot of guys talk about home defense like they can't wait for someone to break in to their unremarkable suburban home and give them a legal excuse to kill someone with their favorite gun. I respect his answer even more when you consider that he probably has a lot more reason to be concerned about break-ins than your average dude...everyone who watches Youtube knows he's sitting on piles of valuable hardware. He just seems like a cool dude, not the douchebag his character led me to believe.

He just seems like a cool dude, not the douchebag his character led me to believe.
Yeah I agree I stopped watching him at one point because the douche bag character he portrayed kind of didn't appeal to me. After watching this and realizing he is just normal it led me to start watching his videos again. If only he cared more about safety, that is my only gripe is he is a little too comfortable around guns. I mean I know a certain amount of it is to uphold the "tough russian" look but it is dangerous.
Whatever happen to the guy who supplied him being found dead? Was there any conclusion?
Bumped for intrigue Seriously, what happened? When someone with an FFL license is murdered, it's usually pretty serious. These guys are in charge of a great deal of weaponry and ordnance.
I don't think a musician tripping over a cable or something on stage is comparable to almost seriously hurting a crew member with a chunk of metal flying towards them at an enormous velocity...
But this has nothing to do with being professional? It just means making videos is his job.
I knew the accent was just an act but god damn his real voice is not what I expected
