What language are they speaking? And why do they keep switching between that and English?

Yeah it's Tagalog, they keep switching because usually especially in casual conversations our native Filipino/Tagalog word is usually longer so it keeps a better flow for everyone. It's usually coined as "Taglish" where we use Tagalog the majority of the conversation and use English to connect everything else, especially since we use a lot of borrowed words in the first place.
There's an Estonian version of this which is actually fun to watch sometimes. They use actual musicians and celebrities like there as well, so the quality is pretty high.
