Bazinga. [editline]18th May 2017[/editline] Do you ever look out at the stars and wondered if the corpse of God is floating among the stars, the strain his creation caused becoming too much to bare?
I'm getting "Video is not available" but refershing the page doesn't seem to indicate that it's been pulled or something. [editline]asdas[/editline] Nope. It's legit not available.
I am forever grateful that this video is not available in my country.
i'm surprised they're going with no laugh track and a single camera set-up
Wow, now the unfunniest show ever made can occupy two timeslots instead of just one!
Honestly, it looks very different from the main show, no laugh track in sight and is a single camera setup. I'm sure fans of the show will probably love this and eat it up to learn more about sheldon but IMO it looks alright but probably something i won't be clamoring to watch anytime soon, but i gotta give major kudos to them for going a different route with it instead of going with the main shows old tired formula.
They should've done this with young sheldon
This seems like it could be much better than Big Bang Theory. That's a low bar, but still... On the bright side it looks like this really doesn't rely on the source material very much at all, to the point where if it was just marketed as a show about a genius 9 year old going to high school in East Texas, rather than a BBT prequel, it probably wouldn't be getting the flak that it is.
Why is the tone so different? The trailer has such a different feel to big bang theory that I basically forgot about the source material several times while watching the trailer, only to be rudely reminded when Sheldon's dumb fucking voice would narrate a few shots. I'm absolutely not going to watch it at all but it looks like it actually has, i dunno, heart? Which makes me like it better than the big bang theory already.
Is this a fake trailer? This looks like a fake trailer.
This feels like an April Fools joke
other than the source material, it doesn't look half bad, not that i'd watch it myself looks like a generic CBS wholesome fish-outta-water show, and since its a prequel, wont be a sitcom full of unfunny pop culture references, mostly just looks like stereotypical "nerd fish outta water" jokes which are common to so many other shows with nerdy main characters not understanding social situations.
The acting from the kids is really good, it's just too bad that the main character is really insufferable
I watched the whole trailer. It looks so bland and boring. Who would watch this?
I watched the whole trailer. It looks so bland and boring. Who would watch this?
You just did.
You just did.
He means who would watch the series.
any alternate source? morbidly curious
https://streamable.com/s/zp44s/jjvhh

I mean. It doesnt look awful. There are a lot of not-jokes in there. Glad theres no laugh track. Its odd how its shot like a movie trailer. I'd watch a few episodes in case they accidentally got good people on to do it
But god damn. Big Bang Theory is an insult to geek culture.
I never really get why people get so offended over the show like this, to me Big Bang Theory just comes of as really inoffensive.
I never really get why people get so offended over the show like this, to me Big Bang Theory just comes of as really inoffensive.
I think part of it has to do with it's popularity and the other with it's poor representation of geek and nerd culture. The shows main issue is a less than basic formula circling around sex jokes
Is it bad if I liked the trailer and want to see a bit more before I throw it in the bin?
it's like some awful attempt at rebooting the wonder years, but I absolutely appreciate the lack of laugh track and sitcom set camera work I still refuse to give it any chance, it's still bottom tier sitcom crude humor trying to mask itself as smart nerd referencing, just this time it's banking on 90's nerd tropes
Wow, the last 30 seconds actually made me feel feelings towards the sheldornymph
according to the comments, they already fucked up the Big Bang Theory lore
Um, how can Sheldon be in 9th grade when in TBBT season 1, it was explained that he went to college after the 5th grade?•

according to the comments, they already fucked up the Big Bang Theory lore
So, either we've got a retcon or... an unreliable narrator. :mystery: A story about a person who was a "super genius child" where it's revealed slowly that the narrator is unreliable could be an interesting concept- especially if it wasn't related to the Big Bang Theory.
Desperate attempt to mik the franchise for all it's worth. I give it a season before cancellation.
This is an actual TV show with much higher production value than the sitcome and looks like it has an actual narrative and actual characters with actual depth that isnt focused on visual gags, a laugh track to make others laugh, or really anything at all that made the big bang theory the big bang theory. I could see this being really good actually.
This actually looks very good. I will hold judgement for when it airs.
according to the comments, they already fucked up the Big Bang Theory lore
Well I went to college after 5th grade, I just had to go through grades 6-12 before I got there [sp]*laugh track plays in background*[/sp]
