that's pretty interesting and a cool detail i never picked up on in his films
i never picked up on it but i certainly noticed that his more powerful scenes revolved somewhat around food
i mean his first scene ever in a movie was placed in a diner.
Me and some friends are getting chicken sandwiches soon.
Time to show them who's boss.

"That's the way power is used to get food across". Interesting thought.
The scene where Hans Landa eats the pastry in Inglourious Basterds was very memorable for me.
I noticed his scenes with food were always memorable but never thought about them deeper. Nice to learn they had bigger meaning.
I love Tarantino and all his movies. Everything is just so well thought out, and the attention to detail is astonishing.
That nacho scene in Death Proof always made me hungry.
Quentin Tarantino should make food commercials.
That is what a lot of film directors should put more effort into. Not specifically food, but details in general. Details are one of the things that set the mood, the atmosphere, and that is exactly what some movies are missing.

Quentin Tarantino should make porn
Also more films
I actually noticed this with his movies, and I wondered if there was some symbolism behind it. Brilliant.

He should just do a movie about chefs or food or culinary.
Then do a part with the chef plating the food
OH GOD
Honestly, like some people have already posted, I picked up on this only a little. I noticed how in his movies, that the less powerful characters have to wait until they are permitted to eat food by the more powerful individual.
But with the video talking about it in much deeper detail, like how it makes you want the food, and how plot points are given in a smoother manner (due to actors eating). Once again, next time I watch some of his movies, I'll be watching them differently, with this on my mind.
In Django Unchained when he poured the beer and used that "brush" or whatever made me really thirsty for a beer.

Food for thought?
Tarantino does something similar with foot fetish scenes in his movies. It may have to do with the dominant nature of the female characters he writes, although it could just as easily be because Tarantino has a foot fetish himself.

you'd think it'd be like the most disgusting thing the way he eats them but for some reason..

also i must admit. pretty much every scene that had food in it made me want that food..

besides being a bit smooshed sometimes they actually look like that.
also it's rumored or even confirmed afaik that big kahuna burger is based upon in n out burger. (blonde stops by a big kahuna in reservoir dogs, not to mention shitloads of references to the joint in other movies)
