Dramatic music and the interviewer sounds like a prosecutor.
Hmm. Is he really guilty of anything?
he did make money off of piracy. while he did provide tools for the companies to remove stuff i guess there was no search box (even then you could call Iron Man 2 beaten potatoes and no company would know that was iron man 2). he's not completely innocent or didnt know that his users were uploading illeagl material, but i still agree with the guy that the law should protect him
Ofcourse he made money off illegimate files too, But there was nothing that could be done about it.

If the indictment was true he was promoting the uploading of pirated content, also there are charges for money laundering. This isn't a case of him being a victim of people uploading illegal content to his website.

Promoting uploading of pirated content?
Where, and to whom?
So he was let off on bail without being allowed internet access from ANY device? This guy was #1 in Modern Warfare 3. Haha. But this is informative.

To the uploaders of the pirated content, being cash incentives and such.
The website was only used for piracy to be honest and it was amazing
"he is guilty"
Nice unbiased report.
I really felt sympathetic for the guy. IMO he could have done more to stop the piracy, but he wasn't the cause.

Come on guys look at what he is being accused of. He isn't in the trouble he is now because he let pirated content be posted on megaupload. He is accused of rewarding people and promoting the posting of pirated content.
Considering his history regarding money I wouldn't really doubt these charges.
Just read a bit from wikipedia geez:

Basically Megaupload's business model worked around download maximization, "storage" was dependent on how much money your upload made the company. If you didn't get that it means they didn't give a crap about storing your file if it didn't make any profit for them. They told people how to access infringing content, they could easily find infringing content (internal database), they clearly could deal with infringing content (see methods used to deal with child pornography), money was sent to successful uploaders giving incentive for uploading infringing content, accounts were NEVER terminated, it didn't matter if an uploader was caught with copyrighted content hundreds of times, it was removed but they were never subsequently banned or anything.
rofl the U.S. government is completely corrupt... idk if anyone has realized that yet.
he's smiling all the time :v:
Pretty chill dude.
This guy is pretty much the text book example of a white collar criminal. I don't get why others sympathize with him.
Interviewer sounds ridiculous.
love him
