the difference between the two is that this video has some set up and comedic timing whereas the one you posted was a bunch of news clips of the attacks set to whimsical music or whatever

yeah i dunno 2 seconds of 9/11 footage doesn't really compare to 2 minutes of planes running into the twin towers set to canned laughter, and then ending with the american flag burning with the caption "everything you hold sacred" over it

probably because a lot of people take 9/11 too seriously, and there's a degree of social backlash against that mocking those people. Not that it wasn't serious but it's not as if it was the holocaust. Also people hate how the US used it as an excuse for invading unrelated countries so they feel like 9/11's already had it's solemn feeling stripped by that.
It's also quite easy to exploit for comedic effect. Hard to imagine a similar thing with the oslo bombing for example.
