Seeing a game, that I basically bought years ago, growing more and more valuable each week is awesome.
Is this a multiplayer game or a singleplayer campaign game?
Is this a multiplayer game or a singleplayer campaign game?
It only has singleplayer, and splitscreen if you plug in a controller.
As far as I know multiplayer wasn't originally planned but is under consideration. (edit: more info on their FAQ)
how much does it cost?

its somewhere around $30. which is well worth it.
I got it for 30 dollars years back, but that was in a bundle with the Natural Selection II pre-order.
Pre-order Alpha done right. No vacations, always a weekly update, and each update actually significantly changes the game.
This is such a game.
I've been thinking of buying this for a while, will there be any open-world shenanigans? If I recall correctly I only remember it being levels and whatnot - I'm interested if there will be an endless adventure kind of deal.

Nevermind, re-read the FAQ.
So is he only working on the engine now, or is he also working on the game(story, level design etc.)?

Currently it's the engine, few months ago he was playing around with level design.
Pretty much whatever he feels like doing at the time he does, flexible.

Mostly engine but they work on everything else at the same time because each updates allows some new aspects to be developed.
Like when they make house models and figure out they also need tables and items to make it feel like there's creatures living there.

Lovin how they hold their neck when its bleeding out.
Every week I'm amazed how fast this guy (I think his name is Dave) is working. He's doing more in a week than most developers could do in a month. I'm glad I bought it a long time ago. They deserve every cent they get. Wolfire is awesome.
This is still in alpha? Episode 3 will be announced before this is released, I mean, if ever.
This guy is a passionate developer, very talented.
Dunno I am going to pre-order, but goddamn this looks really good.
this game would be great if it actually went somewhere. i paid 30 bucks for what is essentially a tech demo.

It's not one guy. I believe it's 3 guys, but might be 2.

You just don't see it.
Pretty much lugaru 2 with an expanded lore.
I'd buy the alpha but $30 is too much money to be asking for, not even minecraft asked for that much.
Grapples and finishers next hopefully! Airborne takedowns and double finishers too

That sold the game to me.
I'm so glad I pre-ordered this, it's shaping up well.
It was interesting in the beginning but I hated throwing weapons in Lugaru so I was disappointed.
Those last few seconds of attacking the enemies on the platform has assured my pre-order.
The melee combat in it is unreal.

this is weird
I've held off preordering for a while because I don't want to create Notch 2.0 with a game that shows so much more promise. But once I get some money I should consider it.

That might have something to do with that it's not finished.
Pissed off, i wanna buy it but my wallets locked in my car and my brother's borrowed my keys ( house key on it ) mother fucker!
Isn't overgrowth supposed to be released this year?
