Last time on Deus Ex... (Spoilers)

But what happens after this? A show called "Revolution", coming out this fall, seemingly attempts to answer.

Kind of disappointed that I was able to recognize the Two Steps from Hell song off the bat though.
Looks pretty good although I feel like they gave away to much in the trailer.
the father from twilight, coool

also yeah i wish they'd revealed only few teasers of the new setting and kept it more of a mystery
I was hoping this was more related to Deus Ex then just what would happen if every electronic thing no longer worked. But this looks neat, too.
That looks amazing.
looked interesting but then it seemed to turn into a tween drama. also the trailer was bad (unwanted and pointless BWAAAAAAAH, lots of JJ bloom on the titles, yet another show where the first "main" character dies off really really quick to promote a "mystery")
Is it bad that I immediately recognized the quarry from the Walking Dead.

well shit, I guess the Cubs winning the World Series really is a sign.
Cheese upon cheese upon American orange processed artificial cheese.
Guy who played the werewolf from Twlight......
yeah, sure, okay.
Not sure if he was good in that other movie Abduction.
I guess I can't really accept the premise of this show: If all forms of creating electricity, including chemical reactions as they mentioned batteries, then humans would be dead - even primary school students know that our nerves' impulses are electrical signals.
lol only in america.
Not enough bloom. I swear JJ thinks throwing bloom on something makes it 40 times better.
Also what does this have to do with Deux ex

J.J. Abrams is helping on the show
it will probably be some ~~Goverment Conspiracy~~ reason
ooh god, THAT'S what the show is based off of? I saw an ad for it and thought it looked pretty cool, but this is beyond bad ass.

Rule of cool
Reading up on all the plot-holes and scientific inaccuracies of this is very entertaining.

electricity/communications go down, throwing a technology dependent world into a new dark age

not based off it at all, just a coincidence that one ends and the other begins with the event of the new dark age.
This looks so fucking stupid.
"Oh yeah, the electromagnetic force just stopped working all of the sudden, but only in technology and totally not in anything else in the universe. APOCALYPSE!"
Sounds like the most retarded reason for a movie/series since "The Happening".

Did electric eels also stop working when the blackout hit?
gus fring is the only reason this could be watchable
This show is a hit and miss with me based off of the trailer, it looks interesting, but yet it looks really cheesey and too teen drama. On the other hand I love J.J. Abrams but the plot holes are just too ridiculous. I just don't know...
I bet it'll cancel within a season. Or there might a real revolution.
The idea seems alright, kinda stupid at the same time with the whole "electricity (and only the batteries, etc.) is gone forever" thing. Why can't they just make more batteries? Is all electricity banned from the planet by a magical force? What the hell does this have to do with Deus Ex?

The electricity fairy took the electricity away because humans were naughty

so did nbc bring on the guy who made this or what? i thought the visuals looked similar but they seem to be pulled directly from this short
Yea I also have a problem accepting the fact that electricity just doesn't work anymore.
What really surprised me is that muskets and flintlock pistols are the main firing weapons. Did all the guns just vanish, and they had to start anew? Even then with knowledge of these guns they would have tried to copy them, but no they copy old muskets and rifles.
Interesting concept, might have a good execution but the trailer doesn't show it.
I'll give it a go, but I'm not exactly hyped for it.

I wasn't aware the government in Deus Ex also controlled the laws of physics, but then again it's a ~conspiracy~
also I didn't know New York had a giant jungle next to it that can grow to cover the whole place within fifteen years, guess it's some V+ vines
