I agree, I loved doing that in STALKER aswell, English text and Russian VO makes it pretty immersive, or if you're ballsy/speak Russian go without any subtitles :v:
This game looks like it has a really cool world just like 2033, but I think it will have the same problem as 2033 which made it a very horrible game to play, that being the FOV.
Even in 2033, where I manually change the FOV, I felt really motion sick. That made me not able to play the game for long at all and then put me off playing it at all.
I wish devs would put more effort into making FOV an easily changeable thing as for me it can completely ruin some game.
I want this game so bad but I just can't afford it! I'm not watching this in case there's anything I'm gonna spoil! Anyone feel like splurging on a random FPer? (Joking.) Cynical Brit is pretty awesome though. Rarely does WTF is... on big budget titles.
Why does everyone I hear call it "Cock Media" rather than 'Coke' Media like the name is pronounced.
Also I thought I'd never see a modern game have SSAA.

Think it's more to do with his general attitude and personal conduct rather than how kind he is to the games he reviews. He's done a lot of stupid stuff regarding interacting with his viewers as well as other minor incidents.
We have our weekly TB debate topic. I'll summarize my points.
He speaks about what is important to him, Options, Performance, FOV-sickness etc
He does not do reviews of games merely impressions of what he thinks so far.
He's publishing these on his own time, on his own channel, under his own name, not some special company.
He's blunt and rude, people don't like that.
He can't please his fans, so he pleases his viewers since they keep him producing good stuff instead of fans which prop him up.
He doesn't let himself get dictated by fans but simply by his analytics and numbers.

Good thing he stopped posting on SA. Looking at his old posts he has not made a post since 2010 until all of a sudden he made a single post in March of this year. Some of the stuff he posts is rather.. special. :v:
TB occasionally links to that post on twitter specifically so people can be aware of how much he tries to avoid that kind of behavior of his past self.
