As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
I am so goddamn excited for this movie it's not even funny.
Dang son this looks great
I can't wait to see this.
That actually looks amazing.
Im trying to not think of how that Tiger bounced that shot but it keeps coming up
At that range the M4A3E8's round would probably not bounce either.
At that range the M4A3E8's round would probably not bounce either.
I think ot was because the tiger was in a hurry, so the shot bounced off the front which was at a steep angle. At that range, with a veteran gunner, and combined with the Easy 8's agility the Tiger is screwed

It's movie after all! Although all the equipment, uniforms and stuff are accurate from what I can tell from this trailer.

With everything they've put into it I really doubt they'd overlook something as significant as the penetrative power of an 88mm KwK 43 gun.

Who's Shia LeBeouf? Is he one of those people who used to be famous?
Who's Shia LeBeouf? Is he one of those people who used to be famous?
Transformers.
Transformers.
No dude, that guy was famous, this Shia LeBeouf guy isn't famous at all.
The new kid is gonna get one of the vets killed and it's gonna create drama tension within the crew. Called it 26.8.2014.

Probably would bounce even if firing APCR On another note, it's sad that the tank they borrowed from bovington needed work when they returned it (tracks needed replacing among other things). This was the state it was in when they got it back.
looks cool, but shia leboof just looks so ridiculous
minus shia lebouf this might be good

The E8 is showing its front right to the Tiger.
shia LabOf will be the next greatest thing, you'll see.
Looks great. Can't always have realism in movies in though it's sometimes wanted.
The new kid is gonna get one of the vets killed and it's gonna create drama tension within the crew. Called it 26.8.2014.
or he mans up or something and scores his first kill, cue 1000 yard stare and cigarette puffing

The Tiger hit the upper glacis and it ricocheted because the angle was so extreme. Shit like that wasn't as uncommon as you think it is. A Sherman got hit at point blank on the top of it's turret by a tiger. It didn't penetrate because of an extreme angle but it gauged a trench through it.
I remember reading that Shia never showered during the filming of this movie. And is that Shane from twd I spy?
i find it a bit weird to have a 300-esque fantasy storyline applied to history that isn't even 80 years old
Looks pretty good, also logan is pretty cute.
I cant help but see Shia Labeuf acting as himself in this movie and just being angsty the entire time about his former fame

Apparently the last running Tiger tank in the world is being used for the film too. Honestly the whole quasi mythic 300 thing is sort of cool but I wish they didn't pull that for a WW2 movie.

It's honestly kinda hard telling what angle the M4A3E8 was at though, in one of the shots the M4A3E8 is obstructed by smoke and in the other it isn't the from Tiger's viewpoint. From I can tell, I just feel like that should've penetrated but eh. [editline]26th August 2014[/editline] Also fun fact, the Sherman in the movie is actually a M4A2E8 (a model that was not actually used by the US Army) instead of a M4A3E8. Not that it matters here, I mean visually there's no real difference.
