After 2 months of planning/recording, 5 days of editing and receiving extremely helpful feedback from friends, I've finally completed my video project for Max Payne 3. I fucking love MP3 so damn much.
Please, if you wouldn't mind, I would appreciate all types of feedback and criticism. I most highly need it.

edit: Alright, it worked. There are a few clips I would have taken out, but overall really nice.

Little off topic, the game's replay capabilities were ruined for me because of the unskippable cutscenes. Was it my rig or does rockstar just want you to watch the whole cutscene?

Never knew how Pink Floyd's Shine on you crazy diamond would fit in Max Payne 3 montage but you did it. And it fits!

They actually released a patch, allowing you to skip most of the cut scenes. There are still a few left though, but it's definitively a lot more quick now. Arcade mode lets you play without beginning and ending cut scenes btw.

I feel that the soundtrack and the way they delivered max's character was what made max payne 3 so good.
That, and the gunplay was intense.

Awesome I'm reinstalling. Yeah I knew about arcade but it just didn't feel the same.

One day, you most definitely should get into the first 2. As much as I love Max Payne 3, the first 2 games have a much different but awesome feeling to them that, unfortunately, you don't get in 3.
Still, MP3 is pure awesomeness.
I wish MP3 would work for me :c

It's actually optimized [I]really[/I] well. A buddy of mine could even run it on his dinky laptop.
I have to be blunt with you man and you said you wanted criticism so i hope you don't take this wrong or anything as most people tend to do.
The video itself was pretty good, but it felt pretty rough at times, namely several times you show max kind of fumbling about for a second then going into a dive, you could have just completely cut that out and just cut straight into the dive like you did a few other times.
Also i feel as if you should have kept the video in chronological order adhering to the game instead of jumping from chapter to chapter leaving us with various Max's.
The bulk of the editing though was clean and stylish, i especially liked near the end during the sniper scene in the stadium as the chorus picks up following the bullet, the gunshot itself singing alongside with the lyrics.
Finally though, i feel as if Floyd doesn't really....fit with the game. Just the tone, the theme of the song (hell the whole wish you were here album) fits with the game but not the actual music itself.
Regardless though this was a video made for that song so i won't condemn your music choice as you made it work fairly well.
All in all it was a good video though mate.
I couldn't stand MP3, but maybe that's just because I played it right after 1 and 2.
Maybe i should come back to it now that the old max paynes aren't so fresh in my mind
The video was pretty well-coordinated, but the constant fumbling-then-shooting got really redundant. It should've been composed of mostly more unique moments, like the opening few scenes and the sniper bullet in the stadium. It switches from being a dramatic, cinematic trailer to frag montages with diving rather jarringly.

good to hear, I asked exactly because I have a dinky laptop. Runs gta IV, Alan Wake and other games pretty ok so I'll get mp3. thanks.
I didn't really like mp3 that much, but this video really made me want to play it again.
I won't lie, the music is great, editing, too, but it feels more like a better made kill montage.
Hell as a Pink Floyd fan, this son is a great cover. Posts here make me more tempted now.

I still like the original way better. Artists just can't match the feel of Pink Floyd.
